Well i have some good news to my friends. Looks like im moving out sooner than i thought which means i will be getting my internet back so i can play games and stuff.

One thing i want to know is how the economy is doing? Is everything still rising in price? Is everything dropping? Are things getting stable? Things like that. Cuz last i played 3-4 weeks ago everything was going way way up. If everything is still rising i dont think im going to come back.

Anyone who can help me out and tell me how the economy is for a whole id appreciate it.

Yeah, Archers Rings and Sniper Rings are now 750k and 700k respectively. I'm in the market for a pair of these, and could not have come at a worse time :(.

I'm not sure how long you've been without FFXI, but as for everything else, generally everything has slowly increased in price (except for elemental ore/staves).

|hmmmm.| that is not true. Generally everything has 'not' risen in price. FFXI recently was released in the EU and as such is having another influx of characters. I believe the game itself is rising in active player population in the states. Whether you believe the later to be true or not the former is a fact. As such the overall number of players is rising even with the new worlds that were added.

Furthermore, if you honestly believe that there is 'inflation' as you guys are talking about please give specific examples beyond NM drop items (which are rare to begin with). For instance a stack of Wind Crystals used to (a month or two) go for 2k easy a month ago, no they go for 1.5k. Chocobo Boots used to go for about 4 or 5k, and now they go for 3k maybe. Hope Rings used to go for about 14-15k each and now they go for 10k each. Eremite's Ring used to go for 2k and now go for 800 (maybe 1k if you are lucky). Perhaps you don't care about anything else but Archer and Sniper Rings and what not but Archer and Sniper Rings do 'not' constitute the AH economics; they don't even represent a significant segement of the AH economy.

So please try to back up broad claims with a bit more statistics and less conjecture based upon opinion... as to the point of Dizzlestick's post, maybe it is just me but you are always complaining about this, that, and the other thing. I don't know you but your actions say you are very indecisive. Get on with it already. (whenever you can of course) either get back into the game or leave it. It's your choice, nothing anyone says can or will change that (especially not news about the Shiva AH economy).

Earth Crystals were for awhile at 1k a stack, Archer Rings to 700-800k, Sniper Rings at 700k, and a lot of other things are flying all over the charts, damn gil sellers.

BUT GOOD NEWS!! Ice Staffs now 25k lmao

Okay, here's some.

Leaping Boots is 350k.
Emperor's Hairpin is 350k - 400k.
Sniper's Ring is 700k.
Ochiudo's Kote is 600k.
Brown Belt is 400k.
Serket Ring is 2100k.
Meat Kabobs are 2.7k for non-Jeuno, 3.2k - 3.3k for Jeuno.
Scorpion Harness is 5000k.
Fire Crystals are 2.5k - 3k.
Raise II is 150k - 200k a week ago.
Raise II is 400k - 600k a couple days ago.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I can only name these (mostly nm drops), because I check these every day.

Yep inflation has hit some areas very very hard I recall when I first looked at archer ring they were 220K that was a OMG 220k I last checked they are over 700k O.o. Enough to make anyones jaw drop I recently went to buy a Sniper Ring and it seemed I had recalled like on the friday before I went to buy them they were 500k ish then when I went to buy it was over 700k. At that price my Vikings axes and aggressor is all I need ;). So I opted for more dex and str my hit rate is insane.

Back a few months ago
Leaping boots when I got mine where 180k
Emperor Pin was 250k ish I got the drop ;)
Serket Ring was 1 million
Scorpion Harness was 3000k

Elemental staffs are the one that is really a shock I recall they use to be 280-300k ish now many are half that price while melee items are on the rise.

Most consumables are still pretty flat like food, arrow, blink powders, and bolts. Mostly because many use them to skill up on and it is pretty cheap to be able to level crafting to level where you can make your own.

Seems as the price of gil has dropped the cost of certain items have risen at a very insane rate. A friend is tracking the vermillion cloak and stated it increased to 3.2 Million gil which is serious sticker shock to her.

In answer to the elemental staves prices dropping, there is a good reason for this. Gardening. It used to be a closely guarded secret that you could garden the elemental ores in large numbers. Now that the secret, and the recipe, is out, everyone and their cousin has grown a green thumb. Luckily, I found out about the gardening JUST before it snowballed and got a couple hundred thousand gil out of it. But now I have most of the elemental staves I will need, for almost nothing. Take the good with the bad, on this one, I guess.

not true, I tried to help get you a world pass when you asked for one. No slamming involved lol ^^ and I apolgize if you've taken my words as insulting you personally. I simply have met a lot of people in the game who are negative about 'everything' and I find it very irritating because looking at things in a positive light yields much better results. Say what you will but I have found that the majority of your posts were negative about something or someone. Hense why I have responded the way I have.

Of course, I don't know you in the game let alone in any other way. So my intent was not to insult you as to offer constructive criticism. If that has failed then I apologize.

As for the prices, the problem with including NM drops is because of the limited nature of how many are created. i.e. when Lizzy spawns 'someone' will kill her and maybe they will get the drop or not. But how many 'boots' are created is relatively constant (I figure given law of averages... 'someone' gets the drop; just sucks when you are not that 'someone' consistantly) Also the situation with gil sellers killing nms for their drops. The reality is that the NM items are their own separate economy within the AH because they aren't crafted or farmed (in the traditional sense of the word).
