Is it just me or is everyone trying to be a ranger now a days? I've noticed this the last several times I was leveling my Ranger(42) for an alt. job, we had a 3 RNG party to start w/ and ended with 2 RNGs due to one DCing. Is everyone being a ranger now a days since they can 'afford' it?

If only i was having this same problem :)

I have noticed slightly more RNg's then there was in the past few months, but still not enough to be one for each party (which most parties can use at least one).

it might have something to do with how pathetically easy the quest to get ranger is to do.... ^_^;;

or the rangers are all getting together, forming an army and taking over... >:)

and yes, i am usually a ranger when i party/level/farm

Last few parties on my RNG have all had another RNG in them. When I was leveling my WAR for the 35-37 run, they all had a RNG in them(and I was tanking.... ._.), in the dunes on my BRD, I noticed at least 3 RNGs lfg. Archer's knives are 40-50k or so now, time times the amount from when I bought my first one. In my LS, most of the people said their 2nd job was gonna be MNK or RNG, with RNG being the majority.
I think there really _is_ an influx of Rangers.

Absolutley an influx. When I started my LS I was one of two rangers in it. After picking up some noobs they leveld to 30 and went strait to RNG, now we have about 6 or 7, with a few that leveled it but isn't there main. Part of it may be our own fault by just beeing there... people see how awesome the damage is and such and want to give it a try. Prices for everythign seem to be going up... I noticed scorpion arrows in Jeuno the other day for 4k at stack :/ That's just a rediculous price for scorps, even in Jeuno they usually stay around 2900. And I have had quite a few partied the last couple weeks with 2 rangers in it, which i thinkis awesome cause the mob doesn't stand a chance XD

Ever notice how jobs seem to rotate on which is in demand? Just wait a while and it'll be a different job that's flooding the LFP pool. Either that, or it's just the job the most recent batch of gil-farmers and botters prefer.

Its mainly because of the CoP exp and the Prom events and quests. Its has been shown that rng/nin is damn ownage there so naturally everyone went rng to make it easier, thus the skyrocket in price of the rng items.

Yeah, I just leveled rng up to 31, mostly because it seemed like it would be more useful in Promyvian than thf. There's probably something to the idea that more people have the money to be able to afford rng now, though, also.
