Quit fighting each other and put our heads together about the problems that we have on our server? like Gil farmers...do a /sea all gard they was level 20 a 1-2 months ago now there level 60+. not to mention our wonderful AH ~.~ makes me angry just to look at it. I mean if anyone has a problem with someone simply dont talk to them not saying just let them run over top of you. This "I hate you and you hate me" thing is getting out of hand. very rare to walk in jeuno and not see a shout argument. dont like shouts? set your filters. i'm sure most know about these things, if you have any solutions to any problems on our server. please post. People say SE is or is not attending these problems but one thing is for sure...what ever there doing they not doing it's not quick enough. and all this racist stuff about GM JP crap thats is just a bunch of BS...data isn't instant. takes time to travel. i'm about 80% sure thats the reason why they get most of the POPS. not to mention 2 yrs of experience. i'm PS2 user i dont know much, these may not even be issues to some of you. i'm pretty new at make topics. anyway. Post your solutions

Of course Cooperation is required for most solutions. But what ever the solution may be, count Fleance in!

I also know that its about a 1% chance This tread works maybe even less. reason being (I THINK! ME!) people are so god damn selfish.

But ever sense on final fantasy tactic a archer had 1% chance to hit me. he hit me twice straight. (that changed my life for ever @_@)

so now i say...might as well try (^_^)

just want a enjoyable server like i did when first step foot in gustaberg ^^ oh the joys of aggro.

Although your post is difficult to read, i beleive i am in agreeance with you.

Yes there are problems on our server (and im sure all servers as well). Yes there are some people who dislike eachother. Yes SE should do something about a few of the issues we are forced to deal with.

However!!!!!!!

This is still a game. I still enjoy it every single time i log in, even though i cant get an archers ring. I still love chatting with my LS, and i even loved doing the promy mea mission even though my party bit the dust. I love crafting things, i even enjoy farming things, which seems to be one the more unenjoyable things people talk about in the game. Amazingly enough i met someone the other day at a NM pop location, and we made frineds!!! Even though we were competing against eachother, me managed to chat for awhile, and eventually teamed up together (although we never saw the pop). We worked together to get eachother full stacks of items we needed.

While i think as a server, we have a responsability to fight agaisnt gil sellers, and battle the AH inflation, i also think we have a responsability to enjoy our time playing, and help others do the same. If we come together and ban against gil sellers, and fight the negativity, the world we play in would be much more enjoyable.

I was just thinking the other day (smoke fizzels out of acepods head). We all complain about the gil sellers, and everytime i mention in my LS that i am going to camp a known gil seller NM, they say "GOOD LUCK GIL SELLERS CAMP THAT!!!"
What if we made a group of people that went to these known gil sellers NM locations, and just plain battled them for it? What if we got a full alliance together to go camp some of these NM's and took them from the gil sellers. If we did this enough times, to enough NM's they would get so frustrated theyt would have to leave. Also I dont think their boss (whoever that might be) would keep them employed if they couldnt make enough gil.

Please I have no intention of starting another gil seller debate, i simply am trying to think of ways to combat the things we dislike about the game since SE doesnt seem to be doing much about it. This was one of many ideas i had, and i am throwing out for those who care to read it.

So i guess what im saying is we need to work together more so then we currently do, and take these matters into our hands. We are the one's who can actually do something, and do it in a moraly acceptable fashion, and as a team.

I think the most prudent course of action would be to threaten to drom stnik obmbs on japan if they dont stop gil farmers.. yeah.. that'll do it.. I already said this in another post so its nothing new what you have said here. i people are just greedy. Its capitolism gone mad.

You think a possible solution could be, if everyone ******* and then ******* some more and continue to *****?

i'm not sure if SE knows that they are losing constumers ~_~

Someone needs to slap them (^_^)

I think "complaining" is only going to do so much (if anything at all).

So to go into my proposal a little deeper (big clouds of smoke now).

I know there must be at least 20 lvl 65+ players that read these boards.

Take them and anyone else who can possibly enter the ares of concern.

Form a constant alliance. Everyone log in and out from these locations, and anytime you are LFP, or crafting if at all possible stay in these locations. While your LFP or doing some crafting ect, camp the NM's that have been over run by gil sellers.

I cant imagine there could be more then 5 or 6 gil sellers camping any one area at a time. So if 20 people of a lvl high enough that MPK would be nearly impossible, were to camp one spot a week, then sell the items at a "REAL" value on AH, then move to the next spot. If you took away most of there drops for a week, they would have to move. Then you just follow them aorund til they realize whats happening and they cant make money. We can form a a database of gil seller groups on here, and just make camps reguarly to deter these gil sellers.

By reducing there gil intake so drastically, they would have to

#1 change names (i am not sure how hard this is to do, but a pain in the rear never the less).

#2 stop gil farming

#3 at least stop using there unethical tactics to make people stop camping them.

#4 make them leave the server completly.

In theory we could do this one or 2 sets of gil farmers at a time, and be done with them completly. I also dont see how this could be considered illegal in anyway shape or form.

People...MPK is illegal. XD

The following, however, is not. While I do not recommend to do to any legitmate player, and if you do, you'll find yourself on everybody's /blist, is a solution.

1) Get a high enough lvl WHM.

2) Get a high enough lvl DD with ability to Voke.

3) Go stand next to Generate or whomever that camps your favorite NM. The DD will go off somewhere to build full 300TP.

4) Generate vokes Mhee Ghee. Generate engages. Normally, from all the bats he pulls to ***** up your /targetnpc macro would have in at half life.

5) WHM casts Divine Seal + Cure IV the hate magnet on Generate.

6) OOOO? What's this?! Mhee suddenly likes the WHM better. Infact he seems to LOVE the WHM.

7) WHM will run to a high level section of Otrozja, while continually casting nothing BUT Cure IV on herself and Generate.

8) Eventually Mhee doesn't like Generate no more, and his waiting to be claimed. Besides, everything will start to aggro Generate. The WHM will have a huge train going but so what? That's what stoneskin+aquaviel+AF gear is for.

9) Have the DD voke Mhee off you and kill him in two strikes, with his full TP.

10) Get the drop, LOT, and warp out via instant warp scroll, as it won't get interrupted like the spell version.

NOTE: Maybe done with RDM with big MP pool as well.

EDIT: Added more details:P

Very Nice idea, I never thought about that approach to pull the hate off of the gil seller with an NM. Rate up for that one. I also believe we need to do something about this. As it stands right now the gil sellers are smarter than the rest of this entire server because all we do is complain about them and cannot think of anything to do to stop them. I have seen some good Ideas though since this thread has started and hopefully we can all do things to discourage and or rid the server of these large scale gil seller groups, because if we dont, they are just going to keep multiplying. An instance I ran into just last night, I was trying to get my AF boots for my RDM. I get to the spawn areas of the treasure chests and I dont know if they were sellers, but there were people just camping these chests for the 3 hours I was there searching. I dont know exactly what you get from the nest chests, but I would think it wouldn't be something worth more than a couple thousand gil, and people are camping these?. I can only think of 2 reasons, they are gil sellers, or they are legitimate players who no longer can camp nm's because the gil sellers have them taken.

FINALLY! A legal, and well-planned approach to stopping gil-sellers/botters (i think that tactic would work on botters too)

My only regret is that as a 25RDM, i can only cheer you guys on... ^_^;;

Here's an idea, don't buy the gil. When I started playing a year ago the average was $100 US for 100K gil. Now it seems the average is somewhere around $100 US for 1 mil gil. Regardless of gil making method a million gil takes some time to make and then sell.

But in contradiction to my own point, has it occurred to anybody that a lot of the gil sellers are just regular guys who like playing FFXI and like farming and camping NMs and have figured out a simple way to get paid for doing something they like? Those guys aren't going to stop, never-ever.

Bottom line, the only real option is boycott buying the gil online, but the eventual result will be somebody starts selling 1 mil gil for 20 bucks and then the boycott won't hold up, inflation will run rampant again.

Moral of the story, we're hosed. Inflation will keep rising, just like RL. But guess what, so does our potenetial to make gil as our lvls increase, just like RL. So stop worrying, accept these as facts and play the game. All MMO games will encounter this unless the company, Square in this case, decides to do something about it.

Oh, and by the way, Square can easily stop this at anytime. All they have to do is type "FFXI gil" in google. Buy ten dollars worth of gil from several different sites on several different servers. Wait for the gil to be delivered and then terminate all character accounts associated with the person who sends them the gil. That person would no doubt lose a huge investment of time and money and word would get out. It would stop, but square doesn't care... so why should we?

you say SE doesn't care why should we...

well ummm...cause its make the game less enjoyable...and it cost $11.95 a month. kinda like having gimped service. what are we paying for XD. And when SE loses enough people and realize there causing people to leave the game. This will probably be consider as a problem to them. but still you dont know whats going on at SE HQ

and what uchipu said, you are nothing less then brilliant!

and some people are right need to brainstorm before ******** like i just

I can't take the credit on the Hate steal method...as much as I'd like to ^^ My LS leader cooked that one up for me and my MNK friend.

I did, however, do it with a SAM friend, and it did work.

ya i see alot of arguments in jeuno (i know ive been in some of them) but its human nature we gonna fight with each other till the end of time, and i like watchin ppl go at it its hilarious sometimes and most of the times the ppl fight with each other are friends.

The main problem i see is with stroper chyme. If its not the Crt gang its kingsword/selinath/taisan group gilsellers. Its unbelieveably annoying when you can barely see or target stroper before the gil sellers claim him every time. But, there are ways around it i believe

-Between the two stroper rooms is a ??? spot. this spawns Gerwitz Axe, a nasty NM for drk af. Spawn it by trading a darksteel ingot to the spot and then zone it. If the gilsellers are dumb enough to voke it the NM will rip them to shreds.

-Grab a marlboro from the adjacent room and drag it to the stroper spawn with you. Sleep it in the middle of the room. It makes a nice big blind spot. Good luck voking stroper if you cant see it XD.

All i know is i want these guys gone. The archer ring is the only feasable way for me to make a decent amount of gil in one night.

Interesting, I would raise the prices even more make you non gil having want everything handed to them ppl work HARder for things. Cant believe every server is filled with wannabee Hero/Politicians. dont yous have better things to do? Stop complaining and keep farming sheesh
