Ok dude this really needs to stop. Why the **** do you always have to be an ***. You wouldn't even get your pt to cast silena on me when i was the only healer in mine you just kept shaking your head. I don't understand you and only hate you more now. Grow up man put quarrels behind you and act mature. I am sick of hearing posts about you and posting them myself. I hope i don't have to make another one or see another one either. Just STOP BEING AN ***!

In Quicksand Caves last night? THATS BECAUSE WE HAD NO WHM!!! I was the healer (RDM/BLM) and our only other mage was BLM/SMN Camillebidan.

Why pollute the Shiva forums with more drama. Is it impossible to deal with a personal situation without bringing it to a public BB?

Yeah sep, what up with yesterday (welcome to my blacklist buddy)

If any y'all were there in QSC yesterday, we had a great pt going, PLD, RDM, THF, and three people from my linkshell, WHM, MNK, BLM. We were doing well until the RDM decided to just warp out on us (meh, he was japanese, it was midday, I don't blame him for being tired) but we needed a replacement.

Our WHM asked sep.

Now earlier in the day I'd found out that our WHM is a little contentious herself, but nice. She got into an arguement with Sep over refresh order which sep kept spamming RDM-PLD-WHM-BLM or something like that, but the deal was she wasn't being refreshed well or summat (I dunno I'm a monk I kill things)

In the mean time while they were arguing the pt was either staying out of it, looking for beetles, or trying to calm down the hate. But when the other pt got some sleepga I told them too heal the pld who was still asleep far away from his pt... noone listened, he ran over and died and we had to go help that pt. Sep starts saying that "their rdm sucks, who is it?!" etc etc etc

In the end the WHM kicked sep, and I don't blame her,I was afraid the pt was just gonna up and break from all the useless fighting. And hell, I wanted to get close to level 50 ^^

Sep sits there while the whm warps to go pick up another rdm (who had an unleveled sub, but personally I think she did a great job) and keeps saying there'll be a "surprise" for her when she gets back.

Our pt reforms in about half an hour, in the mean time I told friends in the other pts around me that trouble might be coming, probably some kinda ant train, and our pt started fighting again. Sep walks away, we were prepared and escaped, our RDM and PLD still got killed in the running process, and 5 minutes later I hear from one of my friends that 2 ants have been trained and released up there and the rdm said that a buncha people were dead.

Sep... WTF?

Wow, the emigration has done woders for Shiva. I must say if Sep is the most flamed person on this server then we are in very good shape. Poor Sep, I think the only reason he is getting flamed so bad is because there is noone else to do it to, besides gil sellers. He has become another victim of Bored Cop syndrome.

Actually as testament to my QSC incident, your PLD (Xbradx) admitted (and the SAM too but forget his name) that I never brought any monsters. Nihongo (member of the neighboring PT) also testified that I never brought a monster. The whole idea was to use Xbradx to get you guys to unneccesarily escape on my cue just to put a dent in your XPing time. Im sorry if you dont like being outsmarted (plus Id like to add its humorous you dont understand by level 52 that you have to be near the BLM during escape), but a GM actually brought me to Morion Gaul (or w/e its spelled)---the GM jail. I told him to check my log where the dead admitted to me on /tell i did nothing. He also recognized through my battle log I never touched an antican, nor did i intentionally run infront of one to aggro it without casting it. Im sorry, but for once, rather than MPKing, I merely just outsmarted you and embarassed you.

Edit to add why the WHM kicked me: She was a whining baby and booted me because she wanted the Refresh Order WHM-BLM-PLD-RDM instead of my (and everyone elses) RDM-PLD-WHM-BLM order. (and everyone knows the latter is the standard and best order)
Edit #2: Nihongo was not the RDM of the other PT.

Sep has a poitn onthe refresh order... if the RDM is the one casting, they shoudl refersh themselves first... sicne they can then refresh everyone else faster... the PLD comes next so that the PLd cna keep healing themself to keep hate. WHM after since somebody's gotta heal the party (RDM's too busy casting refresh), and BLM last, since... Nukes are useful, but if the melee DDs are doign their jobs, BLM's won't run out of MP by the end of the fight (this in in theory, mind you... there's always exceptions...)

So, in closing... don't gripe when the RDM (or anyother mage for that matter) takes care of themselves first...

The refresh order should be BLACK MAGE first and foremost! Everyone knows the BLACK MAGE is obviously the MOST important member of the group. The party is simply there to support the BLACK MAGE. The tank is there to keep the fiend off the BLACK MAGE so they can kill it. The white mage is there to cure the BLACK MAGE just in case the tank fails. The melee are there simply to skillchain so the BLACK MAGE can burst. And the red mage is just there to refresh the BLACK MAGE.

Obviously the BLACK MAGE should be revered and honoured throughout Vana'diel as a god-like individual.

omg you noob!
The person with the highest cooking level should be refreshed first. The AH would totally collapse without our unending supply of 5-700 gil stacks of selbina butter!!

I think he likes the attention.

As for the refreshing order, I HATE when the RDM refreshes his/herself before the whm or blm.
WHMs are constantly using MP throughout the entire battle and a single BLM spell cost a great amount of MP. Personally, I've found refreshing to be more effective when the RDM refreshs him/herself last... but thats just me. :p

At least 95% of people who have experienced leveling RDM beyond 41 will tell you RDM-PLD-WHM-BLM is the way to go in the optimal RDM-RNG-THF-PLD-WHM-BLM parties. SMNs go before BLM in my book, and DRKs always come last, even behind Galka WAR/SMNs. Ok maybe thats a bit extreme, but of ALL mp jobs, id refresh them RDM-PLD-WHM-SMN-BLM-DRK but no PT would have only 1 non-tank melee, so you get the point. But Sano got owned by his own thread. /joy

lol funny how this turned out to a refresh-order thread
hmm i hardly ever post here, but i think ill just do it for this occasion

about the main topic, dont bother other pt's when u need silena, a good mage or combat caster should always carry echo drops, especially when fighting mobs who are known for spamming aoe silence

ok what else... refresh order
well rdm first (duh, its the best way to time ur recasts)
pld 2nd (small mp pool, and will probably cure self before whm does when battle commences)
whm or smn 3rd
blm 4th (sorry meara, u have plenty of clearminds) XP
anything else 5th or 6th (be sure to keep ur thf refreshed when he/she switches from scorpion harness to blue/black cotahardie, they might not be able to use any magic, but a full mp bar just looks better when taking screenshots with fraps)

I Refreshed our thief the other day because he had an empty MP bar and it was really starting to bug me. Every time I would do a quick scan of the HP/MP levels of our pt, I would think "Oh noes, someone is out of MPz!" Does that make me crazy? >.>

Oh, and on the subject of the Refresh order, it usually doesn't even matter what the order is. A lot of Red Mages (myself included) just recast it whenever it wears off. So nobody gets any more MP than anyone else.

And finally, if you are a mage, and you're fighting Anticans, and you don't have Echo Drops, you should be ashamed of yourself. I made that mistake the first time I went to Quicksands... and then never again. It didn't help that I was in a JP pt and had to keep asking {Silena} {Please} ;;. I felt like such a n00b.

Concerning echo drops, I carry a stack of them and I'm a Paladin. I also carry 2-3 juices when grouping in a pick up party in case of an emergency or lost connection.

As far as refresh order, Red Mage, Paladin, White Mage/Summoner, and lastly Black Mage is best for reduced downtime.

I was recently in a party with a Red Mage/Summoner who wouldn't refresh me and I was forced into using my dark staff just so there wouldn't be as much down time. He was nuking like crazy for little damage, all +MP gear and no +INT gear. o.O

It was the first time I got into a major argument about refresh, and it will be the last. I kept saying we need a bard because I knew that would upset him. I also asked the party a few times if we should go back to Rabao(I was in Cape Terrigan). Why? they asked. So I can buy melons and make juice. ^^

If anyone is reading this who was in that party, sorry if I was an ***, but when I am ending every fight with 5 mp because the redmage can't refresh anyone but himself or help cure me, I will politely leave, especially when I can't use Spirit's Within but the Red Mage is using it at 100% TP {No Thanks}.

The funny thing was the party broke up soon after and I was going to call it a night once I got to Jeuno. Instead, I got a /tell from a lvl 57 Black Mage asking me to party(I was lvl 55 Paladin with 800 tnl), and I accepted the invite. We had a red mage who actually refreshed me and we got 8k exp in little over an hour. I stayed for another hour even though it was late and made it almost to 57 by the end. The next day, I made it to 57 in a party with 2 lvl 59 rangers. I was able to hold hate just fine and covered when I couldn't. ^^

After that party was over, I did a /sea all for the rdm who didn't refesh me and I sent him a tell apologizing for going off on him. He must have done a /sea all on me because he was like you're 57? How?

No downtime. Chain #5's every time. The parties I joined did everything I asked you to before it got out of hand. ^^

Keep the Paladin refreshed and the Ninja hasted. {Please} No down time should be the goal of every group.
