Hi... my name is Matt and for a good 10 monthes I played FFxi on the Shiva server. I switched character names a few time, but finally settled on a character named Mathwe. Recently, my playonline account was stolen however, and there is an imposter playing on my character. When the account was stolen, about a month ago, Mathwe was a 42 Samurai, I'm sure he has progressed since. I have been working very hard with playonline to try to get my account back. I had several friends on the Shiva server that many of you may be familiar with such as Nolet, Kingsident, Tyokun, Malacoda, and Vehante. If any of you know them, or have ever crossed passes with them which is extremely likely, please alert them that the person playing the character Mathwe does not have permission to be using that account. Also, please, out of kindness, if anyone can simply send a tell to Malacoda and Vehante and tell them that Mathwe said to email him @ Czar01@optonline.net, I would be extremely grateful. These were my long time friends online and I have lost contact with them. Please help me out.

Thank you! Malacoda emailed me this evening and we were able to speak for the first time in a while. Now he is getting me a world pass so I can at least be on the same server as all my old friends when I begin to play again this week.

(yes I bought an entire new game so that I can keep playing, even though I have to start at lvl 1)

Hiya, not sure if this helps you but I was playing about a week ago in low jeuno as my main character Nekroman. Nicolesixtynine was shouting about how everyone should watch Michael Moore's 9/11 movie. Either you or the dude who took your character was argueing about the election, ect. I half-jokingly said that I would rather have Kerry win this election because having 4 more years of Bush could mean more military action which means the possiblity of a draft...and being drafted would suck cause I wouldn't be able to play FFXI anymore. Either you or the guy who took your stuff said that some website said Bush opposed a draft and that I was basically a uninformed idiot. He then kept arguing with everyone else.

He then started shouting that he was selling adaman ore, and I checked that AH price history and his name was on the list about 5 or 6 times. So if you had adaman ore the S.O.B was selling it >_<

So in summery you are dealing with a Republican who mines. I hope you can catch him and get your accout back, good luck ^^

***I talked about my polical stance just becuase it was connected to a encounter I had with the character Mattwe, I did not say it to try to turn this topic into a political agruement so to everyone who is reading this, please don't go off on me about politics cause I don't care who you are voting for...if at all***

how the hell does one just simply steal an account? Did you just one day go to logon and couldn't? I hope SE has measures in place to keep this kind of stuff from happening >< I can't see why they can't give you the account back.

I spoke to the guy on my account yesterday, since I started a new one.. apparently he bought it from someone for 120 bucks.. this is a lvl 43 samurai + tons of other jobs so this is very cheap. Apparently the guy who stole it dumped it for some quick cash. The guy playing the account now is a good guy and I spoke to him for a long long time and came to an mutual agreement. My friends are all helping me PL my new character up to speed and Ive already paid to open a new account. This guy also paid to play my account. The person we are both now trying to catch is the man who sold him the account. However, if you see Mathwe from now on, Pay him no mind, its just another online gamer. My name now is Evyn though, if anyone wants to help me out or just say hi. Im afraid of Bush starting a draft too lol

Just to clarify something since there is alot of false information out there.

(CNSNews.com) - The liberal group MoveOn.org is continuing to push the rumor that if reelected, President Bush will institute a mandatory draft.
The group has established MoveOnStudentAction.org, which "will launch a nationwide campus 'Feel a Draft?' campaign to demand an exit strategy to end the war in Iraq from President Bush, as well as a specific plan to avoid the need for a draft," according to a press release.
The campaign kicked off Monday with an ad in the New York Times, which alleges that "poor planning for the occupation has overstretched our armed forces and put us on the road to a draft."
The movement against a potential draft comes on the heels of rumors circulated by Democrats that Bush is planning to institute a draft if he is reelected.
A bill supported in the House of Representatives by 16 Democrats would have called for mandatory service for citizens 18 to 26 years of age, including women, beginning in 2005. That House bill was defeated last week by a vote of 402-2.
The campaign will also feature screenings of a new pro-John F. Kerry movie, "Going Upriver," which lauds the senator's service during the Vietnam War and his anti-war activities following his service.

I hope what you posted becomes true. And the link you posted was busted >_<

I am just worried that if America goes in another direction while Iraq is still in conflict the military will need more bodies from somewhere, the forces are spread too thin as it is now and they are holding reservists and the regular soldiers on longer tours of duty then expected, I watched a story on the evening news that a reservist sued the military for making him report for active duty after he had fulfilled his requirements and the soldier won his citizenship.

...darn it, I posted what I did origionally because it was connected to a encounter with the character Mattwe and I didn't want this topic to go off into a political discussion. Time to take my own advice and stop putting off studying for school^^ I will just close with a simpsons quote.

"This station has learned of a facility where men are trained to kill...they call it the 'Army' but a more discriptive title would be 'The Kill-Bot Factory!'" Kent Brockman, Channel 6 news

Several of the log parsers and window programs capture and e-mail your playonline login, password. All that is left to do is change the Credit Card info and password and sell it.

If you have EVER used a windower or log parser, IMMEDIATELY un-install the program and change your PlayOnline password. This *MAY* prevent your account from getting stolen *IF* you can trust the un-installer. The guy who wrote the original log parser program had his own account hijacked buy someone who added a bootleg to his program. While debugging he clicked on a link to a mirror that had been *INFECTED* with this account stealing program. Many people get their accounts back, but they are wiped clean of everything that is not EX. Protect yourself.
