[GM]Danuve is an asshat....Follow

Now I've been here since release and I never really bothered making a ton of money. As of this morning I had about 400k including armor.

Last month I made a mule to get Cooking to 100 named Tarufondler, even held 1/2 my gil on this character incase I needed to make an expensive purchase in Windurst. I've been walking around for 1 month now and no one has complained about my name, no tells, nothing. If anything people have thought it's funny.

Now i'm sitting in my moghouse planning on what to make next in Cooking @ Lv. 57, I get warped to my home point, then to Mordion Gaol.

This is how the conversation went:

[GM]Danuve: Hello traveler. Are you aware of why you're here?

Me: No idea really, I've never been outside of town so I don't know if I accidently MPKed or something.

[GM]: Your name?

Me: Oh.

Me: No ones ever complained before, i've had this character for about a month now, the name's just a joke.

[GM]: Your name is in violation of the rules on PlayOnline.com

Me: Sorry I didn't know, can I change it?

[GM]: As a result your charcter is to be deleted.

Me: Alright. Can I make a quick run to the auction house and send all my gil?

[GM]: No, the name is unfit for the world of Vana Diel.

[GM]: No the name cannot be changed.

Me: You're kidding right?

Me: I've been playing the game for 9 months and you're just going to delete because someone can't take a joke?

Me: 1/2 my gil, gone, I can't run and send it realy quick?

[GM]: I'm sorry the character has been decided to be deleted and will not be released from Mordion Gaol.

[GM]: Best of luck to you.

Me: Yeah, perfect luck.

Me: You're just going to delete my charascter, with no warning, and I lose gil that took me 4 months to make.

Me: Can you at least tell me who complained so I can blacklist them?

Me: I've heard of people changing their names before, why can't I just do that?

(1/2 hour passes)

Me: Whatever, I'm logging because apparently you don't want to answer my questions and feel like deleting 1/2 my work because of some extra-sensitive prick that can't take a @#%^ing joke.

Now, if anyone can explain why the hell my character was deleted without warning and why I couldn't change my name, that'd be great because I guess this GM just REALLY sucks *** at his job.

[GM]Danuve, if you're somehow reading this...

GO **** YOURSELF!

Now I know that I posted this on the main board but I wanted it here because I have a simple request.

If you know who called the GM on me and lost me 200k, please tell me, I want to blacklist this person so I never have to see them again.

Oh my god...he can't actually do that! Everytime someone has had an unappropriate name, I've heard that MOST GMs let the player change it. But wow this guy...I hope he gets fired...if you ever need any help man, give me a tell.

But ive got a new one for you GmDanuveEstiedeCave ... he wont understand...

If you complain enough, they will have to do something. If nothing else, let you send the gil to your main char.

Sorry to here that this happened Cecion, but man, you, the genius of the long gone ArmyofTwilight linkshell, I would have thought you better than to take a name even remotely close to being offensive. But also, I've heard of many people that had what are claimed to be 'offensive' names, and they've only had to change them, Giantovary is an example, they made him/her (not 100% sure on gender) change his/her name, now he/she is called Giantegg. The whole having to delete your character is bull.

haha yea giantovary is in my ls. and i always thought the name was funny. but im sorry to hear that that GM wouldnt let u send your gil and items to your main charecter. not much u can do now. but damn.. id be hella mad. come check out our ls.. SEALAB!! good luck to all u adventurers.

I've intentionally named all of my worthless mules offensive names just to see what would happen. I've been playing since the NA PC release. Almost 1 yr now. The names are

Phucknut
Harryballs
Ballzack
Sac

WTF?! I HATE THE GMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They dont do anything! And when they do react, somebody gets screwed! ***** THE SE!

That just isn't right... Sounds like that GM has having a bad day.

they should jst get rid of GMs for anything except technical issues and bugs. they should let us do what the heck we want. this isnt really a game for kids no matter what the box says. I think id take my chances without GM's.. at least for a little while.
