Ytd I saw another group of gil farmers levelling in Qufim. Their main job is 22nd lvl & all have lvl 1 subjob. Their names are Awangcai, Bwangcai, Cwangcai, etc. Wangcai means "to bring prosperity" in chinese.

I saw them in dunes not too long ago... hard to tell if it's an honest group of players or a series of bots... >_<;;

"A pox on all scammers, botters, and gil sellers!!!"

Rather than create a brand new thread, I decided to post this here... I was farming in the Dunes today, and saw a group of 5 people. All their names began with Gard. There was Gardwind, Gardthunder, Gardlove, Gardmelancholy, and another which I do not remmeber the name. When I typed /sea all Gard... there were 3 others that popped up which were /anon and in different areas. Whether there is a relation between the group and the others, I do not know. When i saw them, they were level 15-17 no subs... 3 WAR, 2 WHM. Just wanted to give a heads up :).

Remember: You don't have to bend over. Me and a few of my friends shut these guys down from leveling yesterday in Quifim. Granted, they went to Rolanberry, ad I logged soonafter, but~

You don't even have to kill the mob, just go up and hit it once or twice and let it chase you.

There is a Fish one too. Babyfish, Starfish and Angelfish. Don't remember the names of the rest. I saw them in Batalia Downs. They seemed decent enough,for (I'm guessing) gil sellers. I was running to Eld. Necropolis for Tele-Mea quest, when I had a dud sneak/invis cast and aggroed a tiger. They took it on while fighting another monster, one of the flys, like Damselflys. I healed them since they did save my butt, and I about zoned it onto them.

I saw the wangcai group in kazham last night... they were getting beaten up pretty badly, i think i had to raise a few of 'em... for gil farmers they weren't skimpy on the tips for getting raised by me...

*rattles her full beggin' cup* ^_^;

Saw a new batch in Altepa yesterday, framing Spiders.
Pack of 6 DRGs...I feel bad for the BSTs cuz it's their leveling spots.

Not to mention, the Spider Webs sell for 6400g - 6800g in Windy AH very fast. ><

This is not good...first it was all the good gear that got gil farmed. Now it's getting into craftable materials too.

This is my first MMORPG. Is like this in other games as well?!

the gard people are pretty high level now. They were in Garliage all day today... all anon but high enough that they were taking out all the excessive trains and evacuees and whatnot without blinking. They were a decent help... kept a few parties alive...

from what I know gil (or equivelant) farmers exist in every mmorg I have heard of. Things could be a lot worest though. like say Lineage II where you can get pk'd by the gil farmers for trying to lvl or quest and going into 'their zone'.

I am just waiting for SE to finally have enough of it though and bring the hand of god down on their accounts. From what I know Japanese players don't like gil farmers either.

i've figured otu a way for SE to stop gil farming completely... but it's a bit harsh to do...

basically eliminate the ability to trade gil.

you'd still be able to trade items, but not actual gil. that'd be the easiest way to eliminate the problem, i think. but again, it's a really harsh measure.

Well, I ran into the Fish group (with Killbill of course) the other day in CN. We were in the hall near the Rumbler Room when they came up. They decided to have one member leave the party and grab a Water Elemental and train it back to us while we were mid-battle. Luckily, I saw what they were doing and was ok not to heal our tank. We called a GM, and of course he/she said "I will look into it." Yeah, whatever lol. /sigh
