Okay... I dunno how many people do clothcraft, but is it just me or is Saruta cotton obscenely expensive at the AH?? it sells at teh guild in Windy for 80 gill a ball, but int eh AH it's 500 a ball!! What the frick is that all about??? i know it's stolen from mandys and stuff, but honestly folks... not all of us are good at keeping 10-20k in our wallets... i can't get my clothcraft above 6 because of the high cotton prices!
so this is a general plea to all Shiva: please try to bring cotton prices down a bit... 200-300 woudl be much better... and stacks of cotton selling at 5k?? that's just plain highway robbery...
anyway, didn't mean to put a knot in anyone's stockings.. just felt something should have been said about it.

There are several places to get this cotton. First is at the Weaving Guild in windy, but good luck, it usually sells out in a few seconds after the guild opens. A second place is stealing it from mandragora type monsters all over Windy. And third, you can grow your own thru gardening.
You can also try different recipes.
0-1 - Yagudo Bead Necklace + Wind Crystal = 3 Grass Threads
1-4 - 3 Grass Threads + Earth Crystal = Grass Cloth
4-8 - 2 Grass Cloths + Grass Thread + Earth Crystal = Cape
6-11 - 2 Grass Cloths + Wind Crystal = Hachimaki
11-19 - 2 Flax Flowers + Lightning Crystal = Linen Thread
19-22 = 3 Linen Threads + Earth Crystal = Linen Cloth

Plus even if you do manage to get some cotton in the guild, I think they have capped how much you can buy at 2 balls per day, which isnt enough to really do anything. I have had the best luck harvesting it, and in addition, you might score some fresh mugwort, which sells for about 4-5 each. Its an easy way to pay for your cotton :)
