Scale of 1-10, How addicted are you?Follow

This game seems to affect our lives in such a big way. I was wondering on a scale of 1-10 how addicted you would say you are to this game?.
I have a friend who is at 10. He almost lost his job because he would stay up all night and be late to work. The funniest part is, he has it set up to where 4 people can play in the same room. One night I was sitting right next to him saying his name, nothing, I tried again and again, no response. Finally I sent him a /tell in the game, no BS, he starts typing back to me as soon as he receives it...Lmao!!

Hmm..I would say maybe 6. I love this game, but taking all advanced courses in high school = very little free time. I can only get in maybe a hour of playtime every few days T_T

I would say a 6 or so... I enjoy the game a lot but I don't let it rule my life and I try to do other things with my free time other than playing... /gasp

it hasn't always been that way though, for the first three months I lived, eat, and breathed FFXI it seemed. Of course it was summer vacation so.

i have a five day vacation from work ... the only things i plan on doing is playing FFXI. how addicted am i?

Nearly as addicted as I am.

I would put myself as an 8 or a 9 easily. My only saving grace is that I do manage to go to work every day and I haven't yet blown off my friends to play FFXI. Other than that, it's all FFXI all the time.

How addicted am I? A 1, I'm not addicted. This is no longer something I must be doing, it's just what I fill my free time with a lot of the time. I'd still be addicted, but people who don't have over a mil or two in gear by 60+ are starting to **** me off. That might be stuck up, but it's certainly not hard to get that much at that high, and the fact that you can still suck at 60+ boggles my mind.

We had a lvl 62-64ish smn in my pt. Never used an avatar, after an hour we called for some...HE HAD FENRIR WTH. GIVE ME FENRIR AND MAKE YOURSELF USEFUL.

Things like that get to me, and since it's so common, it makes me step back and look at the game, and this made me not be so addicted. I'm on alot, normally doing nothing, I want to get lvl 75 and pimp out my char, but I'm afraid of exping with some people, heh...

im a 10. seriously. if im ot on the game i think about it when i wake up. i cant stop!!. i was offline for 2 weeks due to line problems. i went cold turkey. went like 2 weeks trying to get back on lol. first time i bought a new game since febfuary.

Not addicted, but it's a great option to have after a long day's work. I still read a book or go out with friends on occasion, but a lot of times, I just choose to chill at home and game rather than go out. I've saved plenty of potential bar money with FFXI, and I can pick and choose my social settings as I please. ;)

Hm... I'd have to say that I used to be a full blown 10, Last semester I'd skip classes and play, or stay up all night and lvl or whatever. Now, there are sometimes I find myself thinking, 'Why am I still playing this?' The answer: Friends. It isn't so much that the gameplay is addictive anymore, its the people I play with, I've made so many friends that make the game enjoyable. So now, I'd put mayself at maybe a 6-7, I mean, there are still some nights that I get an awesome pt and just refuse to log off and go to sleep, and then I sleep through my classes, which is bad since I've got Finals in a month. But, its the people, and that is what I tell people when they ask me how I can stand to play this game after so long (going on 9 months now), also, being single again in RL helps.
