a BCNM from Sharing became "Your orb your lot" >_<Follow

#1 Jun 26 2006 at 9:04 PM Rating: Decent
so this is a story of another "Under Observation" BCNM runs which turned to be "Your orb your Drop" though in jeuno Meep (The NIN) said "If only one P.Charm droped we'll share it." and they were coming together so they both know the loting rules.
we went to horalais peak (bla bla bla) did 3 smooth runs , 2 Erase droped 1 :Ni and one P.Charm.
after the 3 succesful runs one of the NIN wanted the charm for himself ._."
is this fair? are we supposed to play like this? 2 NINs was Phlankx and Meep
Phlankx is the one who thought of the "I'll keep it for myself" idea >_<
later on Phlankx refused to share the drop saying "I didn't know the loting rules." and Meep(Who's supposed to be Phlankx's friend) said that he/she can't control him and he wants to keep it for himself..... /sigh

today i learnt to NEVER do a BCNM wiht random ppl.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if you were scammed seeing as Meep (along with Wraithblade, Zaltoa and some other morons) used to hang with the gilsellers to get gil and items back in the day.

When it comes down to BC I would say.-

* Sharing rules with strangers rarely works.
- In "Under observation" this is going to work even worst.

Thing is that is convinient to someone (or two and they know each other) to say that if only a PC drops share the profits, and if it really drops in their rounds make the fools and keep the drop.

1) If you get the PC in your orb and as a good person shares the benefits -> They get a good chunk.
2) If they get the PC in their rounds -> They get all the benefits.

This is a WIN-WIN strat for them and looks like that was the plan from the start.

Try to BC with friends, of just go for "Your orb your drop" if you are forced to BC with strangers (and be sure to get leader and quatermaster your drop before going in).

how about when doing the bcnm, change the leader to the one w/ the orb before starting the next run and then set the quartermaster rules. next run, next orb, next leader.

<ducks> be gentle i am fairly new at this

On cerberus, I the whm who needed erase was stupid enough to help people BC for it to get gil. I used my orb and all, and it dropped on my orb. I felt so cheap for that. It was the last time I used my orb for gil-needing BC fights. I will help you, but you will fund the orb, so if you lose, better luck next time.

Your orb, your loot is cool with me, especially if you say you only wont 1 specific thing and will split the rest on the other drops. Take all, and it wont matter cause I'll still have all my beastmen seals lol.

Person who trades the orb becomes leader and quatersmaster before entering, problem solved.

Don't do bcnm's or ksnm's with people you don't know or trust, its pretty simple really. Sadly, there are some in this game who won't hesitate to ***** you over.

I'm not saying that is or isn't what happened in this case, because I wasn't there. I'm just saying be careful when your doing thing with potential high stakes like that.
