so ive been in china for a really long time and im starting to miss the game. I didnt bring my comp coz it was too bulky but I brought a xbox 360 along. I been looking for a copy of ffxi but 360 games here are really hard to find. so... if I buy a JP copy of the game for 360 will it work for my NA xbox? gimme strait answer pls.. really desparate as u can see posting on allakazham lol
No, you will need a JP 360. I do not think it is universal like that.

Actually, when the first 360s came out, there were no region coding on some of the games. I'm not sure about FFXI. But if it says NCST on it, then I'm pretty sure you can't play it on an NA 360.

its offical JP copy says NTSC-J on it. cannot play it on my NA box. god region encoding is reallly dumb... hopefully I can get someone to send me a NA copy or just ***** it... its kinda ironic that I had to buy a 1500w voltage converter just to get my 360 up and running here, I think its really running up my dorms electricity bill lol
