Im happy with the friends that i have made in my old linkshell, but they are mostly below me in level and can't help me out at all. So Im looking for a ls that has a decent amount of people around 50 or so, so we can party, quest etc. If anyone has one that they wouldnt mind a lvl 50 monk in, send me a PM or /tell ingame

You might want to check one of the stickied threads at the top about ragnarok's linkshells [link=Ragnarok's Linkshells]http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=53;mid=1114363519319839229;num=147;page=1[/link]

In my opinion, you have to ask yourself this question "Do I want a new linkshell because I want to go somewhere where people can help me more than I can help others rather than I enjoy spending time with these people and we will progress through the game together".

There is nothing wrong with trying out different linkshells until you find a good match of people, personalities and activities to your liking. But in alot of linkshells, if you are newly pearled and only appear on the LS to ask for help without helping others, you will probably get a poor reputation among your peers.

I have been playing this game for about 2 years and I am still with the same linkshell I started with (Linkshell reformed once when the original sackholder left the game for real life pursuits) and I have never regretted my decision. I have another linkpearl for my static party that I also highly value for their camaradarie and friendship.

The original members started together at level 10-20, and while we didn't have any high level assistance and probably getting anything accomplished via mission or quests were likely problematic and death filled, it was very satisfying seeing everyone pull together to get things accomplished. I think I died 5 or 6 times getting rank5 and the airship pass as a whm3x>>>I will never take the airship pass for granted because of the difficulty of obtaining it.

It seems there are expectations for higher level players to be involved in any mission or quest to "clear the way". While it makes things easier, I think it eliminates much of the challenge or excitement factor.

I wish the OP good luck and fun on playing this game.

Check out Axiom, a medium-sized shell with a nice variety of higher-level and lower-level folks (and jobs). Several of our members are in the 50s now (on their highest job, I mean).

Our website is the place to start: http://www.axiom-online.org
