Looking for people who need COP 2.5 and on. Veterans of COP missions would be most welcome! Tips, secrets, wisdom, etc, all appreciated.

This is basically for sundays until we can complete the COP Storyline. Please post your available jobs/levels.

So far I have BLM RDM and NIN for the 40 cap missions. Basic plan is to do as much prep work during the week and missions on sundays until finished. I've had no luck with pick-up parties recently... and I hear many of them are disasters anyways.

Peace

Hey there :3 I've been interested in going furthe rinto CoP for some time.

Blagoce
WAR75 BLM40(I can take BLM to 50 if needed).

I can also pull knowledge from a large number of friends who are further in the CoP storyline.

I'm normally available on Sundays, but RL will always come first if something comes up. I'm also free on most weekends.

Replying on behalf of my friend (he is at work at the moment and has no access to the Internet unlike me XD).

Nephalem
He has jobs available like war, nin, pld, rdm, drg as well as some others. Respective levels and descriptions will be added tonight when he gets home.

He is extremely interested in your set and the Sunday schedule for missions is most ideal.

Thanks.

4 people so far, with a wide array of jobs. Need 2 more, then we can work on a time to meet up in-game Sunday. Any suggestions for party setups/strats? I heard SMN do well, and RDM also...

We'll need two kiters, and a main tank. Kiters should be war/nin or nin/war (basically need voke). A rdm is preffered for gravity and such. Our blm was having trouble dmging so I dunno...

I just finished this last night. It was tough. If you guys need help let me know. I still probably need a set, depending on how things go this week.

Update-- I will be arranging the PT setup tomorrow (Sat) for sunday's COP run. I will be going over the following missions as well and try to plan for that as well, but 2.5 is the main goal for sunday. As for the TIME, it will most likely be at LEAST after 12pm CST (GMT-6).

From what I gather, the most reliable PT setup is

Tank, WHM, 2 Kiters (SMN or BST), and 2 DD

As I said, I will set up the PT saturday afternoon/evening and start contacting people then. I really only need 4 at this time.

Success! We will do 3.5 next week.

Here was the layout:

Acemonkey - NIN
EH - NIN
GH - SMN
Maxxim - RDM
Rustan - WHM
Blagoce - WAR

Typical strat, have rdm and smn kite. RDM had some trouble by getting interrupted a lot as his mammet was in sword mode (hits 1 time every second almost like 100 fist). Ended up dying but got reraised after we killed first one.

GH had a few close calls down to about 100 hp, but was able to make a great comeback and hold her mammet with Max's help once we were down to 2.

Only needed about 3 liquids. As for me and Ace, we took turns spinning the NI wheel, along with Blagoce going all out DD war dmg. Slow + Polearm mode = VERY easy mammets.

We're planning on COP 3.5 next week. I had a request to change the time to SAT afternoon CST instead of sunday. I'll see what the popular vote is. Everyone should do their prepwork during the week (I finished mine in about 3 hrs after 2.5).

The next pt setup is still in the air, but I hear NINs, DRK, BLM, WHM, SMN all good jobs for 3.5.

Who has their chips turned in?

Looks like STUN is the key here, mostly from WSs. Shouldn't be an issue though, all we have to do is set up a STUN order. Each stunner has a macro that goes something like: "STUNNing <t>! <Next Stunner's Name> you're next!" or something like that. If that person doesn't have the TP or Timer, they can just /p next person or w/e to keep the cycle going.

I suggest a PT of TANK DD DD (ALL of which can stun WS), RDM, WHM, BLM. The BLM is basically there for backup stun whenever the TP of the 3 melees is not ready. WHM for erase, curaga, raise, etc. RDM for enfeebling/silencing/backup heals.

Let me know what you think.

Also, what time is best for everyone? We can try for Sat evening or Sunday mid-day again.

As for this run, I think I'd like to take my most comfortable role: BLM. Best option for a Taru in this battle I think, and BLM is the job I "grew up" with, heh!

EH, BLM gets stun at 45 and this is a 40 cap fight D:

Anyway, Axe and sword both get stun WS.

Ace can go as DRK for Weapon bash stun, stun spell, and Stun weapon skills.

Oh, and I'm getting my chip today or tommorrow.

Edit: chip update

Wow WTF, they must have changed it to 45, becaues I swore when I originally hit 40, I was looking forward to Warp 2 and Stun. Oh well. I sure am not going as a Taru NIN, so I'll have to take the RDM spot, looks like. GH can take WHM, and the rest can be melee/DD.

I'll start asking around with the old crew, if I don't get much response, I'll start a new thread.

Gah -.-

I REALLY hate these chips.

I took 4 people down to Pso'xja and of them, only one came out.

RDM AFK then left for Carby Mitts.

BLM left for Sea Triggers.

I had to HP after running into a Diremite Assaulter who could cast "Critical hit on Blagoce" 4 times a second.

The SAM left sometime after that I think.

I completely need a better spot.

#23 Mar 10 2006 at 2:39 AM Rating: Decent
Just get a healer to duo the diremites with you.

I killed them easily on my 75 WAR with a WHM friend of mine healing me. The Diremites seemed to have a very high drop rate for chips (we got 2 on our first two kills). We were farming chips to make CCB Polymers for 6-4 and killing chests and lizards took a lot more time to get chips. -.-

Heya Guys,

I had one cyan chip (I solo-ed the spider with my blm) and already traded it with the mithra NPC and got Pso Xja Key item; we are good to go.
Anyways, when are we going to do 3-5 Saturday morning or Sunday, see you guys around.
Thanks
