If you are a windy citizen, you should take the opportunity to do the supply quest to Ronfaure region.

This is the first time in my recollection that windy controls that area.

The benefits are quite immense, in my opinion, since you can outpost warp to and from ronfaure region very easy; and thus, have easy access to sandoria without having to tele/airship/chocobo.

I logged onto FFxi today, and I was surprised and please with Windy's control of Ronfaure. I would like to offer my thanks to the individuals involved.

Ronfaure isn't taken by people not using signet, it's taken primarily by the KRT merit parties. San d'Oria just has the added bonus of a lot of lowbies leveling.

I've been trying to get this for a while (crafting things for HQs, trading the NQs to the OP vendor), and the week I don't do anything (until Saturday night) we actually get it. I'm a very happy camper.

wouldnt explain gustaberg having major influence by windy. no merit parties can exist there, movalpolos is in an entirely different conquest area

I totally forgot to mention the OP trading. That's the real fastest way to do it, and the way I contribute to efforts like that. But the lowbies soloing EM mobs isn't the way it's done via XP; it's the groups of 70-75 chaining VT/IT mobs, or the MNKs chaining insane numbers of undead that do the real work, XP-wise.

Zid, what's the big deal of losing it for one week, not like people ever use the outposts right outside of their city's gates anyway?

Windy had major influence because I traded a sh**-load of equipment to the Outpost.

You weren't the only one to do it. In previous weeks I've seen the effect of pumping about 800k of potential profit on the AH from many, many NQs of synths, and it wasn't enough to do it. It was a lot of people busting their *** to do it. And as I said in a later post, I was explaining combat-wise how it happens (how killing IT and VT is much more significant than XPing lowbie jobs or not using signet). I had just woken up to see the result, and my mind wasn't the most level at the time :p.

The SdO lowbie players will always cause SdO to win Ronfaure by XP alone. The OP trading is what throws the balance elsewhere, the merit PTs is just the fastest way to XP it up. {Please forgive me}

My comment referred to gustaburg sunday evening (less than 12 hours after the last tally), where I traded equipment and brought the meter from minimal to major after a few trips back and forth. Of course this would have much less impact on saturday/sunday morning before the tally.
