I don't see how Mila is being greedy by talking about what is the going rate - the fair market value for these right now.

While I understand the point of your post - I think it's pretty simple...if you don't want to pay what something is worth at the moment, don't buy it - please don't try to give someone a guilt trip about selling something for what it's worth, especially not someone as nice as Mila.

I've tried to synth these (currently 0/4). Due to the ridiculous price of siren's hairs, I put that on hold to do other things with my gil (and 2 crit fails where I lost the hair and got incredibly annoyed). However, I can tell you this - if I DO ever hq them, there is no way I would charge less than 80 mil for them. I would use them myself before I charged a gil less. But, thats just me...

Anyway, good luck kerberoz.

someone just told me he'd pay 100mil for it, so saying 60mil+ is not what i made up
i've seen ppl bazzar it for 60mil when the hair price was 1.5-2mil instead of 3.5mil now. and it's the price that other ppl tells me as well, not me being greedy and try to charge crazy.
for each nq, crafter lose 500+k / synth and it's almost impossible to hq it. i know my friend was like 0/25+ on it.
so being u saying i'm greedy plz check the price w/others, thank you.
but since u r a good friend and honest about ur feeling, just give me a taru next time for dinner and it will be all good ^~^

Gilbuyer can afford it.

60m+ is very reasonable.

60-100mil for cursed hands-1? you crafters are probaly ALL gilbuyers who now found a synth that can make you some gil and you overprice the **** out of it you are all ****** Mila states it cost 500k per synth ok so 500k into 60mil you can go 1/120 to make a breakeven synth and you got the nerve to sell it for 60mil? then this guy says 80mil WTF is that ****? so now you need to go 1/160 to break even i think its safe to say you will HQ more then 1. Why was it bought for 60mil? i bet hung bought it hung would buy a water crystal for 20k if he liked it.

Where did she say that? She said the recipe uses Siren's Hair, which is 3.5M currently.

You don't listen very well, do you? The cursed mitts synth is a 500k loss at the VERY least on this server...For those of you that don't understand what that means, every time you synth this recipe and do not HQ it, you lose 500k - siren's hairs are in the mid 3mil, cursed mitts go for low 3mil, so 500k loss easy per synth...

First of all, call us crafter gil buyers is not any kind of comment you should make before u lvl ur craft. You think crafting is just easy gil? well i'd like to see u to take something up to 100 and have a taste of that.
current price to make cursed mitts, Hair is up to 3.7mil now thx to pasco and the rest of stuff cost around 400k. mitts sells for about 3.4mil ish
3.7+.4-3.4 = 700k lose per synth, not counts if we break it.
and the item is so impossible to hq so before u make another smart comment, make sure u read clear and know what the hell u r talking about.

Poor Mila losing 700k per synth for something she is going to make at minimum a 25mil profit at the end with her ****** up prices. Wow just greedy as hell. Thats not enough gil for you considering it doesnt take toooo much work to craft....

It doesn't reach the 10% tier of crafting, so it's what, 2% or 3% HQ rate? If you assume 3%, it would be average 33 synths to HQ. At a 700k loss per synth, you'll lose ~23.1M. Throw in 3 or 4 crit failures, and you up around 35M down. So if it's 60M or 80M, and you're getting slightly over 50% or about 66% profit from your investment, it's not nearly as bad as you make it sound, and the odds of HQ are very low. I can name other items with higher profit margins.

And for someone with a name like "StoleLoO", I wouldn't expect a lecture about morals.

first of all, if u try like 33 synth in a row maybe u have chance of hq, but mark that, i don't have that kinda gil to do such thing, so i try 2-4 each times which lowers ur hq chance by alot, and to "StoleLoO" don't ******* call me greedy when that is the price everybody sells it at and i'm just pointing it out that's how much ppl usually will sell and buy. if u got a problem w/it keep it to urself. nobody begging to u buy it.

60-80mil is greedy for this eh? I'd just like to point out, that these mitt's give give an extra 1 MaB vs nq. Another similar item is the Weskit's for blm hq=1 more MaB vs nq, well, if you've ever /checked hung, he's willing to buy a hq weskit for 80mil, so imagine what he, or another rich blackmage would be willing to pay for these mitts ;p.

You may say, why would any sane blm pay this kind of price for such an item? It may be because of the fact that BLM get shafted on endgame stuff, so they're dieing for anything to put them "above" the rest of the blm out there :p

125mil for a Genie Weskit is way too low. It's worth at least twice that.

Not that he's likely to be willing to pay 250m, what with IGE being sold out and all.
#22 Jan 31 2006 at 1:44 AM Rating: Decent
ok mila so 33 in a row gives you good HQ chance but 2-4 in a row so lets average it out 40synths 4fails thats roughly 40mil loss now and your telling me your not going to rip ppl off? Those prices are like that b/c ppl like jaffla and hung pay it. Your making 60mil b/c u say some guy offered you 100mil for them was it hung or jaffla? B/c noone that isnt a gilbuyer should pay those pathetic prices.

If someone is willing to pay 100m, why settle for less? gil buyer or not, anyone with half a brain would snap at a chance for that kind of gil.
#24 Jan 31 2006 at 3:36 PM Rating: Decent
Back to the mitts: I think it's a reasonable price, but can't afford it right now. I'll talk to you guys at some point hopefully though.
