Well I think its time for my departureFollow

After lfp for weeks because of no tanks, healers or refreshers. After watching SE do patches with little to no bug fixes or real content. Yay for easier title changes. I think I have realized that my time is being wasted.

Being that I was diagnosed with a sickness a ways back, that could end up killing me, I thought that maybe I should use my time more wisely.

Its has seem to me that this game is slowly dieing, with most of the server at 75, and with SE seeming to care more about balista then creating new content. One person mentions that it looks like they have pulled all their creative minds off FFXI to work on their other new projects, and I would have to agree with that.

Anyways, I will be on trying to sell most of my equipment, I will keep my character intact, incase SE smartens up, or I get really bored in the winter. But as of now, I am fed up with lfp for 4 hours then finally get a pt, only to have the tank leave 30 mins after the party is set up, which then results in the party having to dispand.

I may still pop on to help here and there, but I wonder how much i could sell my account for.

Turned into a bit of a rant, sorry about that.

Anyways, semi goodbye for now.

Summer is usually the time everyone comes back, but alas, nice knowing you... :(

Before you leave have you experienced what all the game is about storywise? By this post, it seems you only exp'd or cared about it at least.

With your level you probably know alot of people to get a cop set started. I recommend you at least learn the history of Vanna D before you leave it. It's quite good. :)

Been there done that. Again, even for the missions that i have not done, wasting days trying to get a group together is not worth it. problem with poeple lvl 75 is all they seem to care about is hunting triggers or hnms. or doing gods.

Do not sell your equipment!

You will get the urge to play again, and when you do, you'll be glad to have your equipment and not have to buy it again at inflated prices XD.

I hadn't really played the game since January (cancelled acct in march) and just came back this past week. I hadn't sold anything and boy am I glad! One of my friends that came back with me is paying so much extra just to get the same gear he quit with.

It's always good to take a break. If you want to come back to FFXI sooner, try playing WoW and GW. You'll realize they are lacking in comparison to FFXI. For some reason both games just don't have that "feel" to it :D
