Guy from bahamut posted a bunch have sold on his server, so I wonder..is it that hard to get or are there not many high level SAM OR are people just to obsessed with dynamis and Sky right now to care aboput those kinds of quest?

Just to note on this, These seem to very rare for Rag. I've been playing for quite some time and i've only ever seen 4 people with one. They used to sell for ~3M when it was on AH.. but i've heard about them being sold to "a friend of a friend" etc, etc... for ~5-10m.
I've used one from a sam that was in my LS a while back and the TP drain effect doesnt kick in that often and most tp i've seen drained off it is 10tp (which might seem like a lot.. but think this: mob gets ~2-3tp back per hit) so meh.. the price to me just isn't worth it.
Ushikimaru is what i use and i'm happy with it.

yeah, that's the bad thing about ushikirimaru and Kamewari. Maybe you could camp out in gustav for amikiri and get in touch with some hnm ls that will come kill it for you and give you the great katana.
I've seen some people do that in order to get it. However with ushikirimaru, that's sams most damaging "non latent" gkt at 82 and it has +2 str on it and +7 acc vs beasts.
As far as gear goes.. what lvl are you talking about?

I am currently a lowly level 30 SAM just dinged it this morning, however I always buy ahead for my jobs.
It's just that, certain items I will need to go endgame with my SAM and THF like those GKs and an Assault Jerking are Rare/Ex so I will have to level up my two jobs and get lucky enough to get them. Level gear I want to know about would be like level 50,50,65,70,75 whatever you can recommend would be best for xp parties. I just want to know efore I go blow gil on gear I shouldn't, example: the black cotehardie I got for THF and RNG someday ><.
I will more than likely be leveling up my RNG as well so I will have Throwing, Marksmanship, and Archery all maxed by the end game and decent subs for the other. I will someday level up my NIN 13 to be used as a sub, but I enjoy being a RNG/THF and have heard good things about THF/SAM, and RNG/SAM. I like unique jobs and as I usually am the one to start parties anyway so I doubt I will get less invites lol.
I really enjoy my job combo of THF/RNG for pulling and LOVE SAM/THF. I was doing nearly 300 (285 to be exact) damage like every minute with a Sneak Attack Double Thrust. It was beautiful and yes I am leveling up both GK and Polearm because they each seem, at least to me, to do better against certain mob types. For instance, I hit a lot more and do more DMG per swing with my Spear against the Yhoatar Mandragoras than with my Kotetsu.
It's just a wonderful feeling laying out the almost the same amount of damage an EES would do at that level nearly every minute.
Back to the gear thing, I was wondering since I am not called on to tank without a WAR sub if Jujitsu Gi is worth it and Ochiudo's Kote as well. You know, expensivve gear, how long will I use it.
I want to get gear I can wear for many-a-level so my gil spending isn't out of control since SAM,THF,and RNG will be leveled up every five or ten levels(I will be periodically alternating I hope, but SAM is just so dang fun^-^)

Well, hmm... As far as equipment goes, there's so many variances I couldn't give you a accurate list. Ochi's are "overrated" in my opinion. I was a pretty good sam in my mind and i didnt always have the "l33t" gear. I just played my job as best as i could.
I guess for me, Sushi wasnt released yet when I lvl'd sam to 75 so I didnt have much in the way of good food, so I stuck with AF gloves and tonosoma rice balls until I got my af2 gloves. Now, with sushi i'd say the ochi's are probably a pretty good investment all the way to 75 (or until you get seiryu's kote or af2 gloves). I guess up until your 60+ i'd just stick with whatever gear normal melee's use. Use gi's only if you prefer for the additional +acc.

Thank YOU! Meelee gear it is! I have decided not to get the Ochiudo's Kote as it would eat up a hefty amount of my money which I will probably be using on Coeurl Subs and Squid Sushi. Thanks for letting me know there is an experienced SAM out there I can talk to for SAM info. Magguus is out there too somewhere just not sure where....
