Mno strikes again!Follow

#1 Jun 24 2005 at 11:10 AM Rating: Good
Seems like Mno has been making a name for herself as a scammer.
One of my Lsmates shinorai got scammed of his Emperor Hairpin today by that same person.

He trusted her when she asked to lend his emp hairpin to take a screenshot , but when he traded her the Pin she logged off immediatly. He was shocked , it was his single most valuble item and it took him weeks upon weeks to farm for it.

Residents of Ragnarok , this is a warning for all of you please be careful of the scumbag Mno . She has no ethic and pride as a player or an adventurer. Be careful when she trys to befriend you , she may just be saying {Hello!} to your rare items.

It's a shame your ls mate didn't read these forums to see that this person has done something recently. I can't count how many times I've been asked to loan my vermy just for a screenshot by people who I never met with the words but I'll be right here in front of you. I found that most people don't mind if you tell them you have a difficult time parting with something that valuable. I've actually only ever had one person get upset. Meh, that's thier issue.

I would like to draw attention to Mno. I didn't realize that she was a bigger problem then I thought.

A few months ago a friend of mine lent her his Aquillos staff while in a pt. She abruptly logged off and came back a few hours later. When my friend sent her /t messages, she said that it was her friend playing. And that she didn't have the item among her inventory.

Yeah....BS.

I haven't seen her around lately but just yesterday one of us spotted her in Zi'Tah and swiftly handed out a /slap.

I didn't think she had the nerve to do this on a routinely basis.

How do you take a screenshot of E.Hairpin when it has no visible
graphic when you wear it?

o_Oa

If it's the text or equip screen pic... couldn't they/she just get it from the AH?

exactly what I was thinking... and since you can't.. and knowing this, who in their right mind would do it.. and how many people are STILL getting scammed by the SAME person >.>

has anyone learned anything? do you guys read this message board?!

my god dont let anyone "borrow" expensive gear. dont give anyone an item to use that is more then say 20k or something. and i mean give me a break this person has already had one story on this board about scamming activity involving an emperors hairpin.

you guys are just blinding walking into trouble what kind of person says let me "take a screen shot with your EHP" my god.......only people i know that would do that is a SCAMMER.

DONT TRUST ANYONE ONLINE unless...

you are personal friends with that person
very very very good ls mates

me personally would only let my brother Firewolf use any of my gear.

Zidana, pissed because that was a stupid move on your friends part

does people ever learn anything? once is not enough??..

A lot of people want to still beleive that chivalry exists.

Anyone who gives an expensive item out and gets boned from doing so learns their lesson. It isn't something uncommon for people who are new to XI. Or even new to online gaming.

It's similar to the innocense of youth. You aren't going to beleive the worst in people until you experience it.

My sympathies.

The only person I would ever lend items to is my roommate since I could walk across the room and lay down the law if something bad happened. I really don't quite understand why people are so trusting with really expensive and/or rare items. You'd think that this far into the game people would understand that trust isn't something to be taken lightly.
