According to your post, you're an idiot. Check his character page, not his sig, and you'll see that he has MNK at 10. Also, who's to say you yourself are not hogging the Morbolger drop so that only you can make gil off it. Afterall you do have 69 RNG.

Aye, When I played my Monk, I Feared even trying to Camp Morb @ All. Remember the Quests for Purple or Brown took a Legion of Time. I got 1 of my Brown Belt Items, and Farmed my *** off for 320k or so, that I got my Brown Belt for.

Anyone Willing to Do the Quests, does deserve the Chance to Complete it, but to Throw away the Drop, and not Invite someone who needs Help, is Kinda Bunk.

I know my mnk isn't levelled, but being the quest fiend that I am, I will eventually try to do it. I may keep the piece in case I decide to level mnk at a later time, or loan it or sell it. I never know what I'm going to do with the reward when I do a quest, since that's just a side benefit. And it's not like these quests are repeatable, so once he's got the item, he's done with it and anyone else can come in and do it with one less person to worry about competing for. Any mnk that wants that piece has the option of doing the quest as well. But most people would rather buy the equipment then go through the hassle. If nobody else does the quest, then there won't be any equipment on the ah for them to buy and be given that choice. Not to mention we all need to fund our jobs somehow since other jobs sell stuff we need.

Trust me, I understand the fustration. Back when I needed erase I tried to get into bcnm 40 parties so I could get the drop. Problem is, smn isn't the best job for those and the ones who would say yeah come along always wanted to do your orb your drop with no chance of trading because they wanted to make money off of erase. Fortunately, I was able to work around it by soloing bcnm20 a few times and get the gil.

I do have a rule of thumb when I camp things for quests. I always give priority to someone else who may be there if they can actually use it for their job if I'm only there to complete the quest. I have done a few quests for decent equipment to just turn around and loan it to friends because I knew that they could use it.

The truth is though, every job goes through the having to fight for something they need against someone who needs the money. Last time I went to help someone find the chest for the teleport vahzl quest we had to compete with a thf who was popping them as soon as they spawned to make money. I understand that's their major source of income and they have things they need to get too, but would it have really been that hard to let us have just one chest so we could get out of his way? Fortunately, when I did mine last week, I didn't have the same issue.

Gosh Tif, wish I'd known. When it comes to BCNM 40, my LS will sometimes do runs for people that NEED a drop. Like 3 of our WHMS got Erase, not with their orbs but because the LS went to get them erase and if it dropped it was understood it went to the WHM. Same thing when it came time for me to get Utsusemi: NI. Although in that case it actually was my orb that it dropped on.

People sometimes need to get their heads out of their wallets and help other people just because it will come back to benefit them. You have no idea how close I came to buying Erase for a WHM the other day. AS a 35 NIN in CN, a WHM with no erase what making me NUTS. Guy in another party had it in his Bazarr, I damn near bought it for the WHM.
