Yes I just got word that a very very good player is leaving us. Most or if not all of us know our Beloved

RYATH

Ryath you have been like an FFXI god to me, and always have been there to answer any and all dumb questions DBS has asked. I'm sure I can speak to a few others from DBS, we will miss you uberly.

Good luck IRL as it has been called... Please keep in touch via the board.

Yeah...My time in this game has come...

It has come to the point where my RL is suffering, due to my inability to balance it with this game, and I feel the best decision would be to quit, so I can well, get my life back, and start experiencing those things I have been missing out on.

I guess I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone I have had the pleasure of fighting alongside in this amazing game. All of DigitalBackSpin, I thank you all for being great companions, and It was a pleasure fighting by your side, and watching you all grow into what you have become. To those in LiberiFatali, you were one LS that made all that endgame fun, and I met a great many awesome players, and friends, as we climbed the ladder of the "Big Boys", I'll miss you all. Raiyu, my partner in craaaaaziness, we tore it up man...It was Wild...

One last special shout out goes to my greatest friend:

Chayla/Chaycat- You have had a profound impact on me, as a person, and I will miss you more than anything. Your kindness, and guidance, helped change me from the young, naive boy I was when I first started this game, to the man I am today. You are like a sister to me, you were always there when I needed someone to talk to, and always willing to help. I wish you the best of luck in your adventures, and in life. I promise I'll keep in touch, and I look forward to still meeting yourself/Cam in July. ^_^

Thank You, Everyone, It is the players that make this game so enjoyable, and I met more than I can count in my time in this game. I Thank You all, for making my experience here a blast.

Farewell Vana'diel, I'll miss you all.
Turns around and walks off into the sunset...

Summer, that's why, I know many many people have put up FFXI or haven't been on that much because school is out, etc. People will come back in the fall, trust me.

Summer is part of it. But it's also a natural cycle. Some people are graduating High school and as such they re-asses what they need to do in life and realize that between finding a way to pay for college, preparing for the unexpected chanllenges of college life, real life, and employment, something has to give. And lesiure is usually the first thing to go.

Also, how long do you really see yourself playing FFXI? 2 years? 5? 10? 20?

Best of Luck Ryath.

I see myself playing as long as the servers are around and it's still fun and my real life still allows time for it. If one of those 3 things go away, then I do as well. Ryath's real life has no time for it. And while he will be missed, he's leaving for a good reason. Who knows, maybe one day he can come back. Maybe not. But either way, those of us who met him and got to share things with him got to spend time with one of the nicest people. And I know that's why I started this game, to meet great people I wouldn't normally be able to meet. Ryath was one of them.
