I'm considering a Holy Breastplate as my WHM nears level 40, but I'm posting to see if anyone on the server may be interested in selling the HQ version, a Divine Breastplate. If you are insterested, let me know here or in-game (I'm Grommet). ^^

I havent seen one of these on AH in.... ever.... >.>
Actually a Divine sold just a few weeks ago in Jeuno, Marchsomething, for 500k. Here's hoping. I can certainly live with a Holy, however.

I have raised my Blacksmithing pretty high, if you guys want to purchase the materials or have me make the materials I can try to hammer out an HQ for you.
Valispire, you make a fair proposal.
I guess I could go ahead and buy the materials, and then, if we get an NQ, just sell it.
First thing I need to do is PRICE the materials. It's not my field (Smithing) so I'll need to be careful.
On the chance that we get an HQ, I would want to pay you (in advance; obviously there are no guarantees) to use a Guild Crystal so that the item will be signed ^^
I'll go look up the recipe and start pricing ingredients.

EDIT: I see that two SUBskills are required, Leather and Cloth! But I can't find what levels those are. Unless you have really high levels in both, your chances of an HQ -- even if you have 100 in the main skill, Smithing -- are poor -_-

I like signing my work so no problem there with me using the High-Quality crystal.
I've also skilled up Leather to 50+ and Cloth 40+
I should have at least the leather to 60 shortly and the cloth above 50 today. Once you reach me in game we can work out a price. Not enough people running around with my gear yet so I will be cutting you a break on price as you will be helping me advertise :) If You can catch me early today while it is still close to full-moon, hopefully you'll be walking away with your HQ armor.

Anyway, a couple of comments as we spiral towards a deal for you to make the attempt:
1. Thus far I'm having a problem finding Blessed Mythril Sheets. They are essentially non-existent on my server; a few have sold every few MONTHS in Jeuno and Bastok, but that's about it. So I'm going to have to "commission" these before we can proceed. I know it's an Alchemy synth (52), so I suspect I can coax an LS mate with that skill to make these for me. I may ask for 6 of them, with an eye to trying TWO times for the DBP.
2. If you should ultimately get an NQ result (the HBP), which is far more likely than an HQ, I'll still wear the signed item. (I'd sell my current, unsigned specimen.) So at least you'd get some advertising that way, albeit not as good as if "we" get a DBP.
3. Do you have any notions as to how to maximize your shot at an HQ? Other than getting advanced guild support and wearing gloves, apron, and putting (only) your anvil (if you have it) in your Layout? I'm not quizzing you here; I'm almost entirely new to the realm of "OK, let's try for an HQ here on this one leet item!" My usual stuff is cranking out ammo ...

Assuming I get a full stack, that's enough for 4 attempts at a DBP. And with your skills, and given advanced support, gloves, apron, correct-day synthing, moon, blah, blah, I figure 4 attempts gives us a VERY good chance of nailing 1 HQ.
Send me a PM here in Allakhazam so that we can figure out the details. I'd like to try to be on hand when you do the attempts so that I can /cheer you on! Will you try in San d'Oria or in Bastok?

Yes I do agree with Valipere...he is a member of my LS and a good friend...I want him to craft me a hauberk after I get to 69. whether or not I get an HQ version. I want his sign. on it.

Thanks Val. Too bad we didn't get the HQ this time. You'd know better than I, but might you have a better shot at an HQ (albeit also of failing) during a NEW moon rather than a full one?
Bump, 'cause I'm still looking. (Valispire made a noble effort, actually 7-8 noble efforts, but we didn't get lucky.)
