Please keep flames out [Not that anyone legit would flame no gilsellers, but my ideas might be a little bad. Critiques are okay, but no flames.]

What would people think of a "faction" type thing, made up of linkshells that worked together to eliminate gilsellers? These linkshells would target the "high priced" camped items that the gil-sellers feed on, and the LSs would camp them and cut the price on them. This will 1) Create competition for the items, meaning less items for gil-sellers to sell for gil and 2) create less gil per item that they get. In effect, this SHOULD drive price up on gil at sites like IGE, as they would get less, but I doubt that would happen. I am a lvl 41 MNK, and still have to finish getting a lot of my lvl 40 "ouch" gear, and seeing what the gilsellers have done to the vana'diel economy just pisses me off.

Gil-Sellers? MPK
Gil-Buyers? {Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass}

Any other Anti-Gilseller ideas post here, and send me a /tell in game (Char name Awoir) of any ideas. Any linkshells wishing to join the so called "Faction" could post here, and I'll make a list in this thread if the idea takes off.

More of this? Jesus Christ... just /blist and report them when they break a rule. And most importantly... stop posting about them! Nobody likes gilsellers and we all know to report them for anything they do wrong.

A team of "do-gooder's"?
I could see it now~
Seriously, just forget about them. They are hardly the problem right now, or like they used to be. Their damage is already done and it's the greed of regular people now keeping things so high priced. You have seen boologic's topic havent you?
If you want to fix the economy, MPKing someone isnt the way, no matter how much satisfaction it gives you.

And this idea has been played to death it never works out and usually the people who try to do the "good deeds to adventurer's everywhere" get the punishment because they, themselves are breaking the rules.

Competing with them fairly for the pops is one thing. I'm all for it. Doing things like MPKing is another. It just starts a cycle and gets people killed who aren't even involved. I've been caught up in a few incidents where do gooders tried to mpk gil sellers just to end up losing thousands in experience while attempting to level. Even less fun to die over and over because of that then paying too much for items.

anti-gil sellers hmm sounds interesting but i won't go so far as to mpk them. but the problem is getting way out of hand.

personally, i mine for gil. and where i mine, there are like 6-10 gil sellers there all the time. and they have no etiquette whatsoever so if you pick a spot, they'll pick right on top of you. and these aren't your typical chinese-speaking ones either. i believe some of them speak english very well and will deny being a gil seller but you can easily tell who the hell they are when they are in there 24/7. GMs are totally useless and brainless if they can't figure this out or do anything about it. my bro also need kotes so i decided to camp them (1.5 million -_- i'm not paying that much for this but he wants them) so i camp it. i stand there 5 min and bammmmm 3-4 gil sellers show up and get claim.

yeah, gil sellers aren't the problem with inflation but i tell you one thing. It is because of them that I can't make gil. I feel sorry for the new players who just started or players with no steady income because it either becomes frustrating or a boring time-sink.

PS: your idea sounds noble but you will most likely get banned if you try to MPK so just stay away from it

I wasn't serious about the MPKing, it's just they get frustration sometimes. I mine/farm/camp NMs for my gil, and I would really just like there to be limits I guess? SE lowered drop rate after being in a zone for a long period of time, so they just zone out and zone in. For NMs this is nothing, because you're waiting for re-pop timer anyway. Oh well, good luck everyone, I guess this is a bad idea.

i say we LS camp an NM freakin alliance the hell out of it, seriously 18 people campin VE, campin argus, sure lag would be an issue but it'd be an issue for them as well, and im preety sure if we claimed the NMs that make money and started sellin it for 1/2 the price we could drive inflation down, of course, we'd be investing our time and effort to combat it, but in the end im sure it would pay off. oh and if we could get our hands on a couple of the programs those bastards use, then XD man that would be funny, oh it pops here, at this time... hmm... ok, camp CLAIM... solved. do this 2 or 3 days, im sure they'd get the picture.or try to MPK us, in which case, well, couldnt happen... not in places like valkrum or shakhrami or even some of the higher up places (well with 70+ characters XD)

i say, gloves off, lets do it, lets take this war to their doorsteps and FSK em all.oh and more importantly, lets have fun.
