The "I'm still trying to download the update" threFollow

I can't connect to POL to even attempt to download the update. ;;

I've been getting a string of POL-1600 errors for four straight hours now trying to download the update -_-

I was finally able to get it started. It had about 1 hr left to it when I finally left for class (after 4 hours of download). Hopefully it will be done by the time I get home from work.

DAMNIT...

Finally got new computer last nite, I started install FFxi soon as I got internet to work.

Thx to AMD64, installation was rather quick. Found patching surprizingly quick too, only been 20 min & its already over 50%.

I was happy & thought "yay no more 6 hr patch like last time!! ^^"

Well....after what I thought was the whole patch download, it turned to "step 2" & DAMN now it starts over from 0% & SLOW. 1 hr have passed & I found it at 2%. Hmm...doesn't look right. Its still moving through so could only guess its traffic.

Decided to go to bed & play a bit early in the morning. Several hrs later, woke up, check pc. Hmm......4%!?!?!?

Then it just kinda stucked there & never moved. Couldn't see my cursor too when I have it point at POL.

Anyone have similar experience here? It didn't show 1160 or other error message, just kinda stuck there. Wonder if I shall turn off & restart it.

Geez, how hard's it to return to FFxi after 2 months of resting!?!?!? ><

Yeah, same thing was happening to me. If you cancel it and try again, you won't have to redownload any files you've gotten already. I had to cancel and try again several times throughout my patching process. -_-;
