This guy is a jerk. Orionsp

I was forming a party to level at Valkum dune, our party goes like this, drk(15)(me), rdm(16), war(15), nin(15), whm(15). Our war suggest that it will be great if we can get another nin so both of them could swap tanking while one is casting utusemi. So I found a nin who was lvl 17, he told me that he is @2k to next level so i invite him to join us. He is rank 6 btw. So I assume he is not noob/newbie.

It took him near 40+ min to reach us. Instead of taking teleport from whm, he walk/choco to mhuara and take the ship to selbina, taking his own sweet time. My party members were asking where the nin or find someone to replace him. I told my party to give him a chance as he is on the ship. Finally he reached, on the second mob we killed, he leveled! That is around 400 xp. After that he leave the party and saying: "hehe bye guys!" Now I have to face my party and explain to them why I invited and waited for him.

What do you people think of this guy?

Well a level 15-18 party..he would have been sent away anyway with that level diffrence sooner or later, but he did lie to you about the 2k tnl, which was totally wrong on his part as well as the long time it took him to get to you.

Alos aren't there enough of these player bashing threads already? -_-

There's a few player bashing threads, but it doesn't hurt anything. There's no limit to the amount of posts the forum can hold. Eventually they will fade out and possibly be pruned if the need arises, but relax, seeing 'Jerks int he game' for a day or two won't hurt.

My opinion on the matter:
What a *****.

And these little posts do make a difference, at least to me they do. I stay away from lots of the people mentioned in a negative light here.

That was rude of him yuusl , i will be careful of him if i ever got an invite from him.

On a sidenote , is it just me or are there getting more and more high ranking jerks? . I PTed with serveral high ranking people and franking speaking , they dont always deserve the respect that comes with the higher rank.

Since when does being of higher rank = deserving of respect?

Because someone is RANK 10 does that make him better than a RANK 1? When did Rank suddenly equate to quality of character?

So I'm Rank 6, does that make me better than a Rank 5? I did two more missions. That should earn me more respect? How do you know I didn't leech those two missions? Or even ALL the missions so far?

I know a lot of rank 5s who are 30 and trust me, they didn't do those missions on THEIR abilities.

Respect a person based on what they show you in party and in game, not on a number that has no bearing on what kind of person they are.

It may be sad but it will happen from time to time. I know of many people that lie about their situation just to get a pt. I know of one samurai that claimed he had 30+ acc yet had no haub or sniper's or any real gear beyond exp'ing in full AF. I also know of a few people that have lied about their tnl just so they could get the xp they needed/wanted. It's not a good thing to do but it doesn't seem to stop people from doing it.

As I put in my search comments and bazaar comment quite often "if you are gonna half *** it or lie, then I don't want to be near you". I see the people lie and half *** their way to 75 and get stuff they don't deserve too often while many people I know work for what they can get and get nothing in return. It's a part of the mmorpg style. Same stuff happens in about any other mmorpg out there. You con your way through the game, you play fairly and go slow, or you get lucky and play fair and proceed fast. Usually the third one is often a rare thing to occur. But that's my little spew on it...I'll head back to farming :O.

I'd have to agree, rank isn't a visual of that players skill on the job. I for one, do have a lvl 75 job, i'm only rank 8. I'm trying to lvl my whm right now, and quite frankly I'm probably the ********* mage on the server :( i've been playing about a year and a 1/2 and i Finally lvl my first mage job. Meh, and going back through the dunes, i've pt'd with some rank 1 no subjob players that are brand new and they amazed me. I'd give names but i cant remember at the moment.
If you are unlucky enough to pt with me on my whm.. then forgive me ahead of time for "I am teh suck" :( i'm gettin better though :)
But, as to the OP, people cant always be trusted in this game. I've found that out the hard way. Dont expect rank to be an indicator of that players skill on the job. Especially at lower levels, no matter the rank, if its a different play style than their main job. They're probably just as newbish as the next person.
