Most Useless Most AnnoyingFollow

I was contemplating the other day what the most useless and most annoying zones and cities were. This ended up interesting me to the point where I thought post my thoughts and get yours.

Most Useless Zone: Dangruf Wadi
It was a hard choice. The Wadi and Carpenter's Landing were fighting hard for last place, but in the end, despite a strong personal connection to the place, the Wadi ended up gaining the honor of most useless.

Most Annoying Zone: Meriphataud Mountains
This zone is far far far too big. And on top of that it's got a hole in the middle so you can't go straight though it. It's really a shame that one has to travel through it so often. Most annoying by far.

Most Useless Town: Mhaura
Who goes to Mhaura anyway? It's like Selbina-1. The only reason to ever go there is to get Ramuh, and no one actually likes him. His only use is to get Fenrir anyway. Mhaura is clearly the most useless town.

Most Annoying Town: Windurst
I might get some hate for this one, but I loathe Windurst. It's one big disorganized jumble of broken-down dilapidated structures, and worst, it's full of taru. How those taru ever beat the Yagudo I'll never figure out. If Windurst had be razed in the Great War, Vana'diel would be a much better place.

Well, as far as useless goes, the decision was hard. This was some project Iasthai and I undertook looking at the region map one day, and honestly none of the zones are useless. But in comparison to others, is the Wadi and Landing more frequented, does more happen there, is their existence more important than say, Eastern Altepa Desert's, or Valley of Sorrows even?

Now, this is given that the BC zones are not included. Also, I think Meriphataud was pretty close to being useless as well as annoying, except that it's got Ballista going for it. You lucked out this time Meriphataud. I was thinking maybe Pso'Xja, but I don't think I know enough about what really happens there to pass judgement on it.

Post your opinions on this topic! I for one think it's really interesting. Well, except for the towns part, most of us are too closely tied to our nations to discuss them without letting emotions get out of hand. I mean, obviously someone took offense to Iasthai's comments enough to rate him down.

I think its funny you brought up Mhura. That town used to be like selbina back at NA release with Bubu being almost exactly like valkrum in terms of leveling parties. It was sad that everyone quit XPing there and saddly Mhura is now a ghost town.

I think the most useless zone would have to be North Gustaburg. the whole layout of that place is such that you always have to go back the long way to reach the highlands. And for the other pressing fact that you can do all of what you would normaly do in North Gustaburg better in South gustaburg. Dangruf wadi is a good choice though. the only reason Its not completely worthless is that you can farm Gausbit grass there.

The most worthless aspect of the whole game though are the NPC's in towns that want you to over take the opossing Noob zones in order to sell you something. To date this has never been done and there for deserves the Most worthless people award.
