How did the server crash effect you? What were you doing? Opinions and comments? I was merely trying to log on, quite a shock for me.
i was in the middle of a crab fight in the dunes when i got the boot. after 7 tries, i got back in to half of my PT saying there was a mass ban of sorts. *shrugs* it killed a great PT...but i guess i'll take my 3 PLD levels and be glad.
I was just leaving Eldime after helping an LS mate get her paper for G1. Unfortantely she didn't get the drop because of the crash, but we'll just try some other time. When I got d/c I checked the POL news and SE said that they had perma-banned more than 800 accounts for monopolizing NMs, mpking, and other stuff against the TOS.

Just a thought, but could the server "crash" have been caused by SE tweaking drop-rates etc, as much as the mass banning?
Obviously it could be coincidental, but I would be very suprised if a mass outage was needed to nuke a bunch of accounts. I mean, 800 isn't a lot in a community of 10's of thousands?

I was Farming, Fortunately. Logging on to cash in, and get some Levels so I can Equip my Pretty AF Feet, Thanks to Revenge and Friends ^.^
I was just traveling from Windy to Bastok to meet up with a friend and mess with low level jobs. I'm suprised they opted to do it now though instead of when the servers are down for the upcoming update.
Earlier in the evening I was hoping to level my WHM but after an hour and a half seeking without invites (must have been a sign) I decided to ask my LS if anyone wanted to help me get my BRD AF1. So we did that. It went very very fast since I got our BLM75 to help me. The LS then decided to try to get my BRD AF2. So we did that. A few minutes after we warp back to Jeuno, I get disconnected. ^^;;
When I got to reconnect, everyone's shouting in Jeuno about the POL message. I was soooooo relieved we were able to finish my AF2 before we all got disconnected!

i believe 800 was an educatied guess. Anyone notice last night that there was almost 2000 people missing of the regular count ?
I got DCed right in the middle of a fight and was about to level to 28 on my thf...booo...lol oh well maybe I can get a good party tomorrow night since tonight I'll hit 63 with my dark. God leveling 3 jobs at once gets expensive. :)

after getting kicked, was one of the first to get back in. immediately ran to oztroja and eldieme and got coffers for rdm af. o-o;; hope i didn't steal yours, ayashi. if you need help getting your coffer, msg Atrius in game an i'll come help you out. and ... to Umojan, people may not have bothered logging back in after they had trouble with it and/or the bots and bazaars prolly wouuldn't've logged back in~

800 was the number SE themselves quoted. it is also the TOTAL NUMBER across ALL servers...so with 32 servers..that's not exactly a lot of people per server.
The drop in people online last night was most likely due to issues gettingb back online from those who got kicked. or people just packing it in for the night in frustration.
I was leveling in teh Jungle......somehow no one in the party or myself were killed.

lol, I was sitting on top of Lower Jeuno AH with friends, and i was talking to nozokimi (yeah i know she's a gil seller, but she's nice, and we can talk to each other about stuff).. then server crashed.. when i log back on.. Nozokimi wasnt infront me anymore (lol).. then i heard someone said SE banned 800 gil seller account.. so i did a /sea all nozokimi.. she wasnt there... SE probably banned her account... tell you the truth, i kinda feel sorry for her, she's really nice sweet girl if you get to know her (yeah she told me about her stories and stuffs).. /sighs..
Anyhoo... Good For SE banned 800 accounts.. and maybe the price will go down little bit... but i seriously doubt it..
*dont you guys ever feel like the gil-seller = GM Mules = SE people* cuz like they never do anything to them til now?? what if they trying to cover up the server crashes by saying they banned bunch account ( and you damn know it could happen) O.O..

rest asured nozo was faming cuttings yesterday and last night was shouting offering teles. She is still around as is the whole ls crew.
