New to Ragnarok, Seeking HelpFollow

I am returning to Final Fantasy XI after a brief affair with World of Warcraft. Sadly that affair lasted four months and has left me without my old charecters. I was on Phoenix server but my cousin has convinced me to join him to coming to Ragnarok.

I was a Smn/Whm for awile and achief level 75 in Whm and 47 in Summoner. I am miffed at losing the charecter along with all my trade skills, other levels, gobbiebags, summons, everything.

Being a little more than depressed at my lost I am curious if I might be able to find any friendly high levels to help me out a little. I am not asking for gil or powerleveling. I can handle working up my charecters fairly quickly on my own.

What I am looking for is when my summoner gets high enough is some help getting carb mitts and perhaps even fenrir. These were the two things I was most proud of getting before and the loss of them really bites. I miss my light spirit to but I can get that back by saving and saving and saving. *sighs*

The reason I want such help is that I don't want to half to take Whym to 75 AGAIN to get fenrir and the mitts. If I can get those with help I can live with taking to whm to 37 and then working hard on summoner.

If any can help me with this am willing to do whatever I can to help in return. Had completely forgotten that they delete your charecters after 3 months. Going to be a pain fishing up carp for a pole -again-. Hoping I can avoid the pain of leveling whm and still getting the benefit of carb mitts and fenrir (they make smn so much more fun).

Level 62 summoner here, I'll do what I can to help you. I'll even get you your ruby whenever you and teleport you around so you can collect your lights quickly. That way you won't have to go through that hassle again. Just send Tif a tell in game and I'll see what I can do for you.

Since you did earn the ranks your first time through, I'm not opposed to taking you through them again if you do all of the legwork that you can do ahead of time.

Bloody freaking hell.

Lost my codes and such to make a new content ID ages ago. But never cared because I had as many as I could need.

Apparently after talking with them they won't even bring back my old ids with no charecter. They say that if I want to play again that I have to buy the game completely new.

I would try calling a few more times to see if you can get someone higher up in tech support that may be more then willing to help.

Tried supervisor but he was 'busy' and 'wouldn't be able to do anything about it anyway' but I did get a 'promise' tha they would forward the info through. Doubt anything will come of it though.

I did get one guy at a point that says a feature may be put in later this week that might enable me to get it fixed. So... heres hoping it might happen wed or thurs.

Overall I am miffed at their support. Can understand that my chars are gone. Thats annoying as hell but they say that right there. But not allowing me to restart a previous content ID or make a empty one for me to reactivate... when they say that they have a history that yes, I have a code and yes, I have made ID for it, and yes, my additional zilhart content ID is still working. And no, you left under okay circumstances. But can they help me... 'no its against our policy to help our customers'. Thats the exact words one of them used at one point.

Hehe thanks. WoW is fun... but it dosn't have the epic or long lasting feel from FFXI. The missions in ffxi make you feel so important and cool. And I love how it ties into so many mythologies. And it is Final Fantasy. Just that has so much allure. The music, the graphic style.

If I can get back in my plans are to lvl whm up to 30 fast (done that on two diff chars. To 75 on one). Then work on summoner. Praying I can get help on Fenrir and Carbie mitts. Summoner can be leveled without em but its a helluva lot funner with em.

Buahahah! Well. A few rooms of my house look like a warzone but I tracked those thrice-damned codes down! Now for some strange reason I feel giddy, and have the sudden urge to play a bagpipe and clog dance (or any dance involving shows that would cause blunt trauma) to a tech rep's head.

But all is well. Now to start playing server roulette once I re-install all the software and update. Should I go Taru this time around like I was last?

Any want to take any bets on how fast I can snag 30 as a whm? *grins*

P.S. I am a tad insane. A good friend, but a little strange upstairs. Bats in the belfry and they are throwing a keg party. But I am loyal, trustworthy, and know some japanese.

Aye I am. Its daunting though. I just think of everything I lost and its just like 'gwah...' lots to complete again.

My plans are to get whm up to 38 asap. Then do my best to somehow get Fenrir and hopefully carbuncle mitts as well. At least then I would have the two most prized pieces I used to have. The rest I can handle with hardwork. I am just -not- going to level whm to 75 again to get those two items. Thats what caused me to burnout and take a 4 month break that caused all this mess.

Aiyah, my sleep schedule is all mixed up now. I woke up at 1:30am. I am working on leveling again. 8 so far and finished my first two missions. Finished a couple of quests and am not trying to rush through levels TOO fast. Right now am killing masses of low level goblins/bats to xp. That helps me with funds since they drop lots of wings, onions, firecrystals, and wind crystals.

Once I hit 10 leveling should pick up with groups, or so I hope. Class with no subjob can be a bit ostrasized. But I have books to read as I wait for groups ^^
