just thought i would post this cause i seem to see so many people talking about how bad drg are when all they can say is "drg suck you weaponskills are worthless". hopefully this will help some people see we do infact have a place in parties, and help some drgs get parties.

Two of my best friends in the Game are Dragoons. They are my farming buddies and it is actually scary the amount of damage a drg can do in a short period of time.

Unfortunately a lot of people have been sending parser info, ect, to these types of forums for a long time, and peoples' views still remain the same..

The fact of the matter is, when you only make a 300-500 damage weapon skill, then the closer of your level 3 skillchain makes a 900-1200 damage weapon skill, that's all the people are going to care to see.. Damage over time isn't as visible to them, and for that we suffer as a whole... They're going to give that "The parser is flawed and has inaccurate numbers!" thing.. Anything to dispel the information provided.. Sad huh?

As Lenwei says, people tend to behave like they're new to the game for a surprisingly long time and only be impressed by the big numbers. Maybe they should read the chatlog from time to time and see the drg do a 107% tp report and then drk will follow with his 74%. Now I must admit, I have no clue what you the drg or the drk (or anyone else for that matter :P) hits for each hit as my party dmg filter has been turned on for the last 40 lvls or so. Though my guess/estimate from the last 10 lvls where I've been in quite a few partys with drgs would be that they are more or less the same. As a side note, I've been in a few partys where we had two drgs, one with /whm and additional healer gear and one with /war if I remember correctly. Me and the drg/whm shared healing duties and it was really impressive to see how good healing breath can be. It took a little while to get used to but it was Fun Times ^^

Sadly, what Lenwei says is very true. I've PTed with some awesome Dragoons and have always liked them. Unfortunately though, they've become the brunt of many jokes on FFXI. I, personally, like Samurai and Dragoon as my skillchain partners. Obviously, being a Ranger, I always wanna get the best bang for my buck.

But rest assured, should I ever see a Drg seeking my lvl range, you will be picked up before I get a Drk, Mnk or War. Of course, that is if we have a Tank ;)

For my Rng, my dream setup PT has always been Rng, Blm, Whm, Brd, Pld, Sam. Secondary is the same but replace Sam with Drg.

I love Drk as well, especially once we hit lvl 66 *Purrs*

So, for all the Drg's out there in Ragnarok, there is atleast ONE non-Drg that respects you. Only time and continued perserverance will show the others your true might.

Besides, with your Dragon and your AF, *Whistles* that's one hell of a damaging team.
