why cant I Alt-Tab out of the game i have a althon 850 with windows ME and for some reason i cant alt-tab out of my game i was wondering if there is a seting i can change to be able to do it? Has any one else had this problem? thanks for the help

its not just you its everyone....its in the programing...it jsut wont let you...but to get around this most ppl use a windower...just google "FFXI windower" and install and so on

i have a new computer a sony viao and i can alt-tab out of the game with that one (hmmm)

I can alt-tab. People told me that you can no longer do it, but while I was once in the process of being d/c I hit alt-tab instead of waiting 10 minutes. To my great surprise the window crashed and it took me back to PlayOnline immediately. I don't know why some people can do it and some can't, but I'm sure the answer is on the simple side.
