As a DRG yourself, I don't think you have any room to go around yapping about whm being good for "Raise 2 and what not"... have you forgotten the amount of crap we get being DRG as it is? Look at things and think before you post, please.

Hmm....I don't think what he meant was along the lines of "Eww! WHM? They suck! Who needs 'em?" I think it more the lines of that his static (which I am a part of) has done well without one for damn near 13 levels. Personally, I think having a WHM would be great, since it would give our poor RDM and I (mostly the RDM @_@) a break and let him debuff and nuke some, but again, it's not absolutely necessary.
His topic was "Is it just me or are whm getting horrible in the 60's" not "Hey props to my static for doing so well". You are doing fine without a "insert job here" but he didn't make a post about it.He made a Eww! WHM? They suck! Who needs 'em?" post. I'm not suprised he isn't garnishing favor in the WHM community. If you went into, for example, an African-American message board and said the same post only inserting the words 'AFrican American" where whm is, do you really think you would win friends?
Well...i am a 61WHM (4k tnl) - and i've never partied with or met the originator of this post. Of course, it's a little shallow to generalize an entire job and level based on your limited encounters with a handful of WHM's.

My post was in reply to the reaction to Icestunna's comment. Unfortunately, it didn't post the original message like I thought it would.
So, yeah....just calm down. ^^;;

Lame. I had a huge post but well... life sucks. Anyways...
Iridal, I respect you as a player, and I understand your viewpoint. But as a high lvl DRG, Icestunna should be one of the FIRST people to support acceptance of other jobs. Not say they're only useful for certain abilities. Kind of how, and I'm sure any DRG can testify to this, sitting idle in jeuno, we're likely to get a random /tell from a low level asking to kill the Rank 3 dragon for them. Only so they can use Dragon Killer and Ancient Circle. But any other time they run past you, you'll catch the random "too bad the rest of your job isn't as cool as your AF"
Yeah. Butt munches. I hope I've made what I tried to say before somewhat more clear. Besides, we should all suport WHMs. If you're really good to them and befriend them, you get free teles now and then ^^ (Thanks, Nikemike)

Hmm...I still think you're missing the point I'm trying to make, but I'm not Icestunna, and I'm not in his head (^^;;), so I can't really carry this argument any further. ^^
I love DRG and it irritates me that people overlook them. I was lucky enough to do some leveling with DUB - as a whm, between him, Luciano our DRK and Sgtlilpuppet the PLD I was rarely if ever touched and his "Hienie" kicks major butt.
I love DRG, not just for their armor but quite honestly I have yet to ever meet a bad one because they have to be 100% good at their job because of all the crap they get. I hope SE gives the DRG more cool abilities

I am a summoner level 55 and Haste is not a problem for my parties because I cheat and use Garuda.... mmmm Hastega now all the fighters are happy!
I love parting with a smn they Blinkga Stoneskinga and IM in heaven cus noone gets hurt to badly. I love SMN DD, theyr amazing its too bad people try to smoosh SMN into a WHMs duty...you lose a good DD that way
If you are seeing a lot of bad WHM maby it if because you are not interacting with them correctly. Some rdm seem to be overachievers. They do my job before I even have a chance to. If this happens I scale back and adjust my play style to leave them room to do their thing.
The WHM should be in charge of healing. If they need help then assist them but you should not have to primary heal if there is a WHM. Sometimes the WHM will have it completly covered and you will only heal in an emergency. Sometimes the WHM can't heal fast enough and you will have to pop in with small heals often so they can keep up. It just depends on the situation.
Regen is the WHM domain. If they are not doing it then so be it. Trying to regen for them is going to hold you back from doing your job.
Haste is your call. I usually hold back on haste for the first few battles to see how things are going before I get my haste cycle going. If you are going to haste then pick a person or persons and keep them hasted whenever possible. The WHM might start hasting some else. Then again they might not.

I think I'm one of the people you talk about gerraine, not that I see bad whms because I rarely do but that I tend to be too helpful with back-up curing when I party with them. I always know I'm doing the wrong thing but it's just that I really dislike seeing the tank hurt. Usually it leads to the whm wasting mp though and that sort of defeats the purpose of Refresh. The best thing to do when partying with me is to tell me to do the Hastes, this way my mp will be low enough that I will need to conserve it a bit which in turn means less cures :P
I know what you mean Khasim. Nothing is more frustrating than watching the tank fall because somebody else SHOULD have cured them but they didn't.
