Why do the requests come in bursts...?
Alright, let me get cracking on responses, at least. In chronological order...
Love Goddess:
That sounds very, very challenging. You see, that's not actually a part of your character model, but an animation, like a Fire spell and so forth. The animations naturally have .dats of their own...but I don't have the rescources to locate or change them. If I could find it...it would be a simple matter to change the duration of the animation so that when you used one, it would last for hours on end (to your eyes, anyway.) I'll contact you if I can ever manage to do this...brilliant idea, by the way.
Rustan:
I need more information than that. Size, as they say, doesn't matter, but I need to know exactly what your facial model is if I'm going to change something on your face. Necare's screenshot idea would be for everyon's benefit...follow his example.
Necare:
Your proper spelling, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure, as well as the screenshots, give you priority. I'll do yours first.
p.s. In order to alter them, I convert them to .DDS files with a Japanese program, and then alter them with Photoshop, with a special .DDS plugin. Major hassle, but look at the results.
Edit...the eye replacement looks very nice, but understand that we are working in a very small area of pixels here...in other words, not much room for that much detail. I will try to get the impression of a red vortex into your eyes, however.
Enderz:
Your request is do-able, but I might get the wrong face. Spiky could be a number of faces, probably...
I find the correct .dat files with a useful little tool called FFXIModelViewer. It is very nice.
Bottom:
Of course it's legal...as long as I don't demand gil for my services, 'cause exchange of gil for any real-life service is prohibited by the TOS. Donations are cool, though. So far I've only had one, and I don't really expect to get them.
You get second job....but I need to know exactly what your character looks like.
I've put up a FAQ in my main post so people stop making the same mistakes.
