The Moral of the Story...Follow

Last night after xping my blm I warped back to Jeuno and saw a avatar prime battle shout. I decided to ask if I could join it. The line up of avatars were Garuda, Leviathan and Titan. We went ahead and fought Garuda with no problems. Then we went onto Leviathan. None of us knew that way to Leviathan so I asked my friend to lead us there. Since everything in the Temple aggros to sight we were assigned people to invis. I accidentally invis'd that wrong person when Catherine called me a dumb ***. Shortly after we got aggro on the way there killed the mob and it dropped vitriol. Catherine casts lots on the item. Just being curious I asked why she cast lot on something that even to a NPC was worthless and worth approx. 300gil she then started calling me a gimp'd rdm and again a dumb *** along with other profanities. After that my friend that was leading us disbanded and decided to no longer help catherine.

I don't know if she was on her rag or just was naturally inclined at being rude for no apperant reason, unless it was the fact I beat her to the pull on Mysticmaker Profblix and got my Moldavite... But if the person you are talking crap to happens also being friends with the person leading you... Don't talk crap all things considered my friend didnt need Leviathan prime at all.

It really sucks for all the other people that were unable to go fight Leviathan Prime due to her childness.

Okay... the major factor in all this is that she called you a "dumass". Not a dumb ***. I guess she ended up being the dumb *** in this.

Of course I came to help. Of course I love to use my paintbrush. Yes I know the way to Leviathan. No I don't like to help people that have nothing better to do than be rude to the people helping them.

So I too apologize to everyone that didn't get to go. I'm sorry about that but Catherine should have been kicked. We had to wait like 30 minutes for her anyways. I would have gladly taken her place had I not completed Leviathan already. And I too got screwed because I was supposed to get my last whisper with Titan.

I also wanted to say thanks to Chrasilis for being cool. I had won the lot on a simple water spirit pact and then zoned and lost the pact. Chrasilis was nice enough to put it in the delivery box.

Don't worry Catherine... I think everyone is still gonna get the avatar. Just minus a little weight in the @$$.

Lol yes Heziki you do like using that paintbrush of yours. I remember doing the secondary run of ZM4 and you wanting to use it again.

Yes it does suck that our avatar prime battle run was ruined thanks to her. I would've assumed someone with "mentorship" status would have known better than to talk crap about the person's friend that is guiding you or perhaps would have known how to spell properly... I thought most people dropped that upon the third day of being lvl 30 and not having desire to actually help people? Maybe she just kept it to arrogance on top of her stupidity and already PMS like disposition?

Sorry Heziki you wasted your time coming all the way out to help only to have wasted your time and for everyone else that was unable to finish that avatar run.

Mentor status used to have a meaning. But now people see it as just something else you collect at level 30. Its not like you have to pass any kind of test or anything. Hit 30, go to the NPC and if you have over 100 in game hours, you're a mentor.

It's almost comical now how often I will encounter a dispute and watch one person turn on their mentor light, as if that proved they were right or something. It's especially funny when it happens in party and suddenly EVERYONE turns on their light as if one up each other. It's pathetic.

The only thing mentor is good for anymore is to make a macro that looks like this:

/mentor on
/wait 1
/mentor off
/wait 1
/mentor on
/wait 1
/mentor off

I think there 7 lines in a macro... And just keep on hitting it for a nifty flashing mentor sign effect ;)

Not as good as my super disco ball, but I can only use that every 2 hours...

It's sort of funny, sort of offensive at the same time, about how some of the mentors out there know so pathetically little about the game and it's mechanics.

I'm pretty sure most people see it as a status symbol. bleh. I, for one, only put my mentor flag up when I actually feel like trying to be of informational help to people. And, amazingly, I have actually been asked questions via the "find a mentor" ability of the game ... and even more amazingly I knew the answer to the questions.. (mostly quest related so far.. although one time someone asked me to check an AH price for them - to which I politely refused. heh. Mentor != handout service.)

Anyway. I hope all of you get those avatar prime battles finished. ^_^ I'm a long way from those, myself.. But I shall get there eventually! *grins* (Sort of funny -- I have over 83 days in playtime now, but my highest job is still 43. hehe)

This isn't the first "cathrine" issue people have had.. I was in one particular linkshell a while back... and I went on my trip to a convention.. I returned, and sat down to play..

Lenwie: Back from the convention! Man that was fun!
[Linkshell person]: WB Len!
[Linkshell leader]: WB Len!
Cathrine: Great. You're back. Now we all have to suffer.

...I left the linkshell after that..

Months later I return, to find out not only had she angered me, but nearly EVERY PERSON in that linkshell.. She has a SERIOUS attitude problem. I hope she never gets into any HNM LSes.. god.. She'll be taken down a few notches by those people for sure..

Seriously I don't know what her problem was. Maybe something crawled up her @$$ and died? My first encounter with her was in Onzozo while camping Mysticmaker Profblix. We pulled a normal gob and she pointed and laughed. I really didn't see what was so funny seeing as to how we beat her at a normal pull I didn't see what chance she had outpulling on a NM. I think it would be funny when she joins a HNM ls and gets put in her place rather fast. She could always start her own HNMls called PMS or just Midol? Just a thought... >.>

On a more positive note... Lenwei hit me IG whenever your RNG is lvl'd up enough to do a ZM6 run I don't mind helping out even if I do get one hitted from the RNG antican. Same goes for ZM8. If you dont want to wait for your RNG to lvl that high just dust off your DRG get some gear and get a few people and I'll help ya out.

Peach on Disco Power :) I Honestly don't ever load my Mentor status up anymore for that Sole Reason. I Don't play to Belittle or "0wnji" people, I Just play for Kicks.

If you have a Good Suggestion, I'll Listen and try it out, that's how I learned Bard :) If you Lot on an Item, and someone asks what it's For, Keep the Sticks and Bugs in your *** and Don't flip out.

Sorry yer Avatar Pt got gimped because someone stick Shifted :x GL on the Next Run :)
