Derival... it wasn't crap....ask anyone on the DigitalBackSpin Linkshell who was there and they'll tell you. The people in the large room didnt' fare quite as well because they were RDM,WHM,WHM, while on the stairs were BLM,PLD,RNG.

First it was around 4AM EASTERN, so we're talking non NA gil sellers on the other end.

Second, the Chyme is probably the easiest to do this with since it only spawns in two place and has a very short and very measurable pop cycle.

Within the two area's it pops, there are about 3 even smaller areas where it actually appears. You get 3 people in each area to stand facing one of the 3 spawn points in each area. Keep close tabs on the clock. Also know that the moment the sellers call for help on the mobs, you're seconds away from the pop.

Have a spam macro that starts with /targetnpc, using TAB or F8 is a total waste, you have 2 key presses to their one and you'll lose 100% of the time.

Take a Ranger, two if possible. Why? Because the one job ability we Rangers ***** about being useless is the MOST usefull in NM hunting. Shadowbind is INSTANT. It will beat Voke, Dia, Bard Sleep, anything you care to try. Whats more, most RNG aren't aware of this, you can fire it off WHILE RUNNING. It will LOOK like you lost the mob because the animation is so damn slow, but in fact you'll get it to turn red.

I know this works, I did it for 5 hours straight and lost EXACTLY one pull once I figured out where to stand and how to time the spams. The one pull i lost poped literally UNDER me and /targetnpc didn't lock it up.

Also keep in mind we were 3 pulling against about 7 Gil sellers...they would run between rooms, we camped 3 in each room full time. Always in the same spots, and always facing with our BACKS TO THE KITE, get next to them, turn away from them and you negate the Kite. To the point they stopped doing it.

And for those that want to say "yeah we'll you PC people hae an edge"....fine...say it.. but I play on PS2.

It should take you roughly 15-20 mins to get the cycles and the timing down, after that, just pull away, and heckle the crap out of them as you win pop after pop.

If you still think it's crap, I can't help you. But I stood literally infront of a gil sell who STOPPED TRYING after about 2 hours of losing. The more they lost, the more I heckled them. Nothing that I said was made up or "crap", its what happened.

Tif,

You're right of course. DBS has ab out 120 or so people on the LS and I suppose if we really wanted to we could camp the Chyme to the point of making the sellers quit that NM entirely. But then we'd simply be replacing them. It wouldn't change anything, you'd just have all of us getting the drops and selling them instead. Even if we all went in with the 'intention' of selling them for 50k each...eventually people would begin to realize that we had a monopoly and could sell for whatever price we wanted. Greed would come into to play and in short order you'd see 500K rings again.

Again, as long as you can make THOUSANDS of real US Dollars doing this, there isn't going to be an end to it. It's like the drug problem in the US, stop people from doing drugs and you won't have to worry about drug dealers anymore becaue there won't be anyone to deal to. Ending the 'gil trade' is just as likely as ending the drug trade in that respect.

Oh and on the topic of 'catching them'...

Its like prostitution. If the person approaches you and specifically offers you sex in exchange for money, then you can nail them. If however YOU go to them and offer it, YOU get nailed too (solicitation)..or if you're a cop you lose the bust to an entrapment claim.

Even if you went so far as to say, "hey I went to IGE, bought $20 worth of gil and then this person delivered it to me", you'd still get nailed because you just admitted to buying gil, and theres a good chance the other person wouldn't because all they would need to say is "I owed him some gil for doing me a favor and I paied my debt".

Please let me know when you will head to Ordelle's I would like to see you take the mobs from them. At one point their was about 15 people all camping Stroper Chyme against those 5 and no one could win the claim

Last night their was 2 JP players that could not get the claim on it but once and from what I remember they were a little busy. Yes they were pissed and yes these were highly decorated JP players that were camping this mob just because of the gil sellers... these guys gave up after a few hours. Along with the 2 JP players there was 8 NA players, Omg actually won the claim once also.

Also, yes they were sent to jail, Omg turned them in and the GM actually sent them to jail for a few hours. A few hours after they came back they were lagging out constantly for some reason. They would drop out one person at a time... I was hopeing a GM was sending them back to jail because they just vanished right before my eyes, but sadly they were just lagging out. At one point only the poor Taru was left and he tried soloing a Stroper and was killed. I took many pictures at that time.

Some small info about them and the area:

There are 5 account's that operate there 24/7:
Bheh, Choryo, Elliw, Ellynydd, Elsianie

Its getting more and more rare that Lovewume will show up... lol even that gil seller is no threat against those guys.

Once when I was there I seen a PLD helping them out when no one else was around (which I really didnt understand) JP named Mayuro

Dabrille is their 6th account and sells all the rings at the AH.

Ellyndd told me they have 30 workers where they work. But usually only 7 are there at a time.

Yes they are Chinese.

Bheh, Choryo, Elliw, Ellynydd, Elsianie

are who I am speakin of and their PLD friend was there too.

Bheh was the one who fianlly gave up trying to Kite, Ellynydd tried a few times to kite me and beat me, andin fact for a while both Ellynydd and Bheh tried.

Choryo was the one sending tells to other people in my party asking them why I hated them and was so mean to them and said said "bad man things" about them.

Interesting to point out, these people are almost all certainly in the same room when they play. At one point Choryo was telling a member of my Party that the "boss watching" and "Boss coming now". Also when they all logged off and then came back in after a while, it was the same characters but then Elsianie sent a /tell to the same party member who Choryo was /telling and informed her that "This is Choryo, I play this now".

So they switch around jobs and accounts obviously.

Next time we decide to go play Der I'll be sure to look for you. You're more than welcome to come along and help/watch/ tick 'em off :)
