Me and my wife finished watching every episode of The Tudors on Netflix... Now I want to watch it all again.
Seriously. I never watch anything more than once. It's that good. Very high quality production.
It's supposed to be "loosely" based on the life on King Henry VIII but from what we've read (we would the history of the people the characters represent and spoil future episodes...) it's pretty accurate.
The most notable aspect I would say is the character development... it's always interesting to me how the characters change over years/decades... if they're allowed to live long enough to change... The show has a way of getting you to really like certain characters before savagely murdering them before your eyes. Certain characters are burned alive at the stake, others drawn and quartered, tortured, or publicly decapitated, and I felt terrible for them as though they were real people.
The last episode was particularly emotional. I'm really at a loss for words here. Just watch it. (Just don't watch it on BBC, they edit teh boobehs out.)
