so this movie was AMAZING, especially in imax 3D. What an experience! Well-worth what I paid for.
lol I usually have a hard time having A favorite movie, but this is probably now my favorite movie evar. The whole movie had a very RPG feel to it in terms of looks and concepts/story lol but the one FFXI related stuff to it was the floating mountains! Tu'lia & Riverne Sites were in the movie and looked exactly what I imagine it would look like if not better.

When I saw those previews, my immediate thoughts were of Roger Dean paintings, specifically the one called "Floating Islands".
I always think of that same thing when I enter Riverne as well - so I guess we're thinking along the same lines.

Floating mountains are hardly exclusive to FFXI. As a WoW player, the floating mountains made me think of Nagrand. Granted Nagrand doesn't have floating mountains, but it does have floating rocks with stuff on them.
