Naruto 466: (yes, spoilers are definitely an issue here!)Follow

So, the more I read of Naruto, the less I care for it. I suppose I should feel lucky that there are no fillers in the manga, just the anime.

Seriously, is there any order in Sasuke's mind? What on earth is his intention by going against the five kages, letting the one he really wanted escape so easily and basically losing against everyone else, especially since he doesn't seem to think he'ld lose against any of them or even all at the same time? Am I missing something here or is it just a bit sloppy by the author?

I'm having more fun reading Bleach at the moment, Aizen against the rest, might be fun. And let's not forget Wunderweiss.

I don't know. They keep trying to show Sasuke as some ultra mega hyper badass, and then turn around and have him get his *** kicked by pretty much every named enemy in existence. Then again, they can't exactly make the main "villain" be more interesting than the hero of the story, and damn has Naruto himself been a bunch of nothing interesting since his fight with Nagato (Or however you spell his name), and even that didn't end all that interestingly ... actually, the fight leading up to it wasn't that interesting either.

Is Hinata still dead? One of three characters that I was even interested in (Neji and Rock Lee being the other two) and she gets herself off'd.

I can't wait for Kensei's fight next chapter in Bleach, though. I also think that what's her name with the amazing rake's death was an illusion. Seems too cut and dry for anything else.

Exactly, it just doesn't feel right, but perhaps we'll get a better take on it later on in the story. I doubt that though.

As for Bleach, it just seems a bit early for the big showdown with Aizen, not sure if it's really all just a decoy by him, an illusion he created to fool them all.

I'm fairly certain everyone was returned to life.

I haven't read Naruto in years, but agree that Bleach is finally amping up.

THowever, the return of Gantz after a 4 month break has me the most excited. I'm sure the end of Gantz is going to be pretty ****** up & unpredictable.

I stopped reading somewhere in the four hundreds. I think it was May, actually.

It was RIGHT after Pein revived everyone and Sasuke came back into the picture. The chapter where we see Gaara again was the last I read.

It got to the point where I felt like I was being punished for reading it. Like, there were so many awesome possibilities, and they were wasted. The chapter where Naruto meets his father could have been so epic and emotional, but it SUCKED. It was just the Yondaime yelling at the goddamn fox to stop growling.

Add in Sasuke being ridiculously stupid in every way, and I was just done. Not even the promise of more Gaara could keep me going.

Plus, Sasuke has always been one of the most ridiculously useless characters in the series. They're always screaming about how great he is, but he's pretty much never won a battle on his own merit.

That comment about how Naruto was stronger than him now.... Wasn't he always? Isn't that was Sasuke was always so pissed off before he left?

I mean, in the Itachi vs. Sasuke battle...

Itachi was dying from a horrible disease, at a decreased strength after giving Naruto a weapon and TRYING to loose. And he STILL almost beat Sasuke.

Worst. Antagonist. Ever. After he changed the group's name to hawk I lossed all interest in him.

So, to everyone who still reads Naruto. I advise you stop. You have no idea how much relief you feel not being massively disappointed every week.

The anime having filler arcs EVERY OTHER ONE when a single episode in a plot arc didn't cover a whole chapter didn't help my mood. I loved the art of Shippuuden, but the filler was so horribly written that it didn't even matter (and half a regular episode was stupid filler anyway).

I want to see the side-show, "Sai." Seriously the only good filler character (I say filler, because he has a much larger personality in the anime than the manga).

Ah well, it can improve again! Most stories have parts that aren't as interesting or good.

Madara sounds an awful lot like Gendo Ikari.

The longer this goes on, the more I've been thinking that Sasuke is really attempting to use Madara to his own benefit.

Really? I just think he's going insane. And I don't mean the well-written-lots-of-character-development-and-insight-possibly-awesome-insane. I mean he's consumed by revenge in a badly-written, Mary Sue gone awry kind of way.

IIRC, Itachi was treading a very fine line. He was trying to lose, but still put up enough of a fight to push Sasuke to his very limits. Once Sasuke used up all his chakra, he had nothing to suppress Orochimaru with, leading to Orochimaru's bid for dominance and Itachi sealing him away.

Basically, he had to put up enough of a fight to get rid of Orochimaru for good, but not enough to actually win.

He could have destroyed Sasuke's lame Mary Sue *** if he really wanted to.
