Anyone else excited for the North American DVD release next week(August 18th)? Anyone worried about the lowered animation budget they got for it compared to the first?

I enjoyed the first season, but I've heard nothing but negative comments about the second season. IT's been a long time since I've seen season one, and I've been putting off Teatrino for fear of tarnishing my view of the series.

To be honest, I hadn't seen any reviews for it(aside from the one on Amazon, which was a pretty positive one(mentions that while the animation itself isn't quite as good, it still has a good story), so I've been looking online to see what I can find. So far, all I've found is frustration in finding much, since it appears that both the new series and an OAV are named "Il Teatrino".

Edit: Right after posting this, I found some reviews. They all pretty universally pan the animation and one notes a few continuity errors(loading a shotgun but shooting a rifle, etc). However, they all give it praise for the story itself. Good enough for me. I shall remain cautiously excited, though it sounds like reading the manga would be an acceptable alternative to get the story without the downside.

Got Season 1 from TPB. (No flamez, plz. I plan to buy it. I was just waiting to get both together if possible.) LOVED it. (It's even my avvy, see) Anyhoo, I haven't seen any reviews for Season 2, though it sounds like they are not so good for quality. But I'm more of a story person anyhow. As long as the characters are recognizable, I'll probably be happy.

I still haven't seen it myself. Damn Netflix has had it on Short Wait since pretty much after it came out, so I haven't gotten to yet.

I agree, though, as long as the story's good, it'll be worth it.

Finally got in the first disc of this. The animation is definitely not as high quality as before, but don't let that fool you, it's still pretty good. Also, the story thus far is pretty top notch.
