Recap of 4/6/09 show:

Noah finds out Sylar isn't dead, and can shapeshift, but his wife still hates him. After trying to expose Danko and Sylar, he gets outplayed and is now on the run.
Matt tries to kill Danko's hidden girlfriend, but instead just asks to die, but Hiro saves him and takes him to his baby. Matt is now all happy.
Suresh finds out his father was into some weird stuff at Coyote Mesa (or some such name).
Everyone meets up at the Coyote place. A skull is found in a grave.

My thoughts: This episode pretty much sucked. Matt was one-dimensional: super depressed at first, then bipolar-like happy after he sees his baby. Ando is hilarious, but he and Hiro are totally comic relief. No sight of Micah. Despite being billed as "The grandmother of all secrets REVEALED!" the show revealed NOTHING about Angela's past. It was a total filler show with almost no plot movement besides Noah learning Sylar can shapeshift.

It was a total filler episode, but it definitely set up for some big things to go down now that we're nearing the end of the season. FYI: They found way more than a skull, they found multiple bodies. So at least that was interesting. I also didn't find the Matt thing at all stupid. It was him trying to take out his anger/grief, it also showed a stranger side we don't often see of Danko. All very interesting, and hopefully the things in this episode actually culminate into something.

This episode was better than the last, but the best part was the ending, IMO.

Summary: Angela and her sister, Alice, went to a camp called Coyote Sands in the 60s to be studied by the government and Dr. Suresh Sr. Alice could control the weather. One night Angela snuck out with some boys, and Suresh took the opportunity to interrogate Alice, who went haywire and caused storms to come. The soldiers freaked out and shot everyone in the camp, although Alice escaped and lived in a bunker for the next 50 years. When Angela told her that she lied that night, Alice goes crazy again and disappears in a storm.

The end of the episode has "the family" (Noah, Nathan, Peter, Angela, and Claire) back in the restaurant Angela snuck out to 50 years previously, and they discuss forming a new company (Peter's against it). They look up on the TV to see Sylar impersonating Nathan, basically solidifying the future seen in season... er... 1?

Thoughts:

Alice will come back and play some sort of role in the final episode.
Alice will probably die.
The entire Alice story arc is rather dumb, honestly.
The story of Angela's past and the forming of the Company is rather good.
Sylar is freaking awesome.
The ending sets the stage for the final showdown. I'm guessing the epilogue will be disposing of Sylar, explaining to the president that Sylar and Danko did all these bad things, and life going back to "normal."

The episode was entirely filler. I'm also increasingly annoyed at how the writers choose to prop the Claire character up. IF this was a good show she would be a dump character. All her ideology would fail in the face of reality and she would have to learn to deal with that. Her "I just want to be normal, but I'm just too gosh darn special," speeches are killing me. HEr character is the kind that reads twilight and harry potter, and who would easily kill fifty people just to be gosh darn special.

I still love Angela's past. Angela's always been one of my favorite characters and this episode was epic. Almost Tracy-not-so-death epic, but not quite. (Or nearly. Seriously, I don't think any TV show will show me something that epic ever.)

I kind of found the whole Alice thing to be a bit "meh".

Enjoyed the history about how the company was formed. Did anyone else think that the actor playing Linderman was trying a bit too hard for that specific accent the actor who played him has? I kind of felt by the end of the episode that they only gave him a few short lines because of it.

The next episode is entitled, "I Am Sylar" so I'm really hoping for some more bad *** Sylar (my friends were joking that they were softening him up earlier in the season because he's playing Spock in the new Star Trek movie).

It's about time Sylar actually became invincible. Also, can't wait for the season finale next week.

I'm calling it here. Sylar from the future saves Sylar from the past and creates a time loop ala the original Final Fantasy.

It can never happen. Sylar can never gain time travel powers. Allowing him to do so would engender plot holes so big not even the target audience of desperate housewives could ignore them. The show has specifically had Sylar go out of his way not to kill Hiro in the previous season. The most the wirting staff could hope to pull off is that through some crazy shenanigans Hiro either accidentally or willfully teleports Sylar through time.

Anyone else yell at their television "Sylar is NORMAN BATES!?"

The writers seem to be at the end of their creativity. They blatantly ripped off Sylar's mommy issues from Psycho, rehashed his previous mommy issues, and rehashed his "Am I bad? Am I good?" issues again. It just keeps going around in circles. I'm interested in seeing the end of the series this season, but if it continues on next season my 9pm show slot will be House instead.

The show before Heroes, Chuck, remains freaking Awesome* and hilarious.

*Pun intended, for anyone who saw the last episode

It is a good show. I only watch Chuck and Heroes on Mondays.

As for Heroes . . . it as been a few days so I'm not spoiler tagging stuff...

At the end there, Sylar gets back up. He isn't invincible. Or not imo.
Here is why:

In the same show he had 1 extra tooth and he stated one of his eyes stayed blue after he "changed" back, he then stated/expressed fear in that the shape-shifting is "rearranging" him.

If this is true, then when he was shanked in the back of the head, that tiny part that needed to be hit to "kill" him could be in a different spot now.

I kind of want to know what is up with Hiro. He showed pain through out the show when he froze time.

And yea, the Psycho like show was a little goofy. I thought he was just seeing her/talking to her in his head... not shifting in and out.

House comes on the hour before Heroes.

So basically, he's now Cell/Buu and his entire body will have to be obliterated in order for that one spot to be hit.

I guess that is a good way at look at it.
However, I'm sure he would die if his head was removed. . .

Maybe the rearranging of his cells is what "calms" him (talking about a past episode, where he has a son).

I hope it is explained how he is alive.

I was up late last night, and watched Jimmy Falon.
Ali Larter was one promoting her new movie.
Towards the end of her set, Jimmy asked about Heroes.
She gave a spoiler about her character: Tracy (Ali said it would be in the Monday episode).

I don't watch stuff on the web, so I can't link it, but I'm sure someone can find it.

Spoiler:

Sounds like Tracy is not dead, and she can control all forms of H20- Ice, Water, Steam. The way Ali said it was all sexy ^-^.

A very good ending to the series, I really didn't see that twist with Nathan coming. I think it's fairly obvious Sylar will make a comeback. Tracy seems to be being set up as the next villain? I guess Hiro is done with his god-mode for a while :-(

Anyway, I liked the ending of the season, but I don't like Tracy, so I suppose we'll see how that goes.

I like how they ended this volume.
I'm glad to see Pete is somewhat "back", but I wonder if he will go mad like Sylar now?
And I also questioned why they didn't do a blood transplant with Dead Nathan using Clair's blood. . . Now we have a Nathan with Sylar somewhere in the back of his mind asleep >.>

But was a cool ending.

As was Chuck's season ending. Was so not ready for a Chuck Fu moment.

He didn't get the power absorbing ability, just the shapeshifting. He can have one power at a time. Also, as far as he knows, Syler is dead so he wont be getting it unless he finds someone else with the same ability or learns that Nathan is Syler.

I too am perplexed.

Can't wait for next season. It's going to be a long summer.

I think you're right.

When Sylar wakes up, he's going to be pissed.

I don't know if I liked the Chuck Fu or not. It was certainly entertaining, and the last quote was gold. Next season should be neat!

Bah, I just don't find real-life Barbies attractive. The last scene was a gratuitous "show off her ***!" shot. Not that interesting.

Two big plot holes, IMO: Why is Dead Nathan not ressed with Claire blood, and won't Peter notice Nathan isn't Nathan when he can't fly (Sylar never took his power, did he? Just his memories?). Actually, won't Sylar notice he's not Nathan when he can't fly?

He can fly. He absorbed his power without killing him.
