I saw a commercial on TV the other day, and I can't decide how I feel about it.
Apparently, Sam Raimi is making Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind into a mini-series. I'm not sure if they'll do only the first book, or all of them... I suppose they'll wait and see how it pans out.
Now, I came into these books a little late. Most of them had been out, so I picked up the first three bound together in plastic. I enjoyed them, and started purchasing the others.
Then it hit me.
After the first book, each book was almost exactly the same. Richard and Kahlan are growing closer and closer. Each time they are about to reach some milestone in their relationship, disaster strikes, and one is spirited away from the other. The one not abducted saves the abducted partner, they're happy, until.... they find out all is not well yet. To be continued.
I was happy to find out the series is almost over, and I have purchased Phantom and will purchase the last book when it comes out in paperback, but I can't decide how I feel about the mini-series.
