Okay, keeping in mind that I've never seen the original movie and have no intention of seeing the sequel, and I have no idea how high the helicopter was that this character jumped out of. But as someone who has studied pre-med level anatomy and physiology, I have to say I find this absurd:
Quote:
Picking up immediately after he hits the ground at the end of Crank, Chev Chelios (Jason Statham) is kidnapped by a gang of Chinese medics. On an operating table, they attempt to harvest his organs.
Unless this dude jumped at a very, VERY low altitude (like, less than 3 stories) his organs would be unusable. They would essentially have been turned to chunky salsa within his body by the acceleration and sudden impact of the stop. That doesn't even include the numerous bone fractures that any such landing would have included, or the catastrophic increase in body temperature that happens when landing from a long-distance fall, which would ALSO make the organs unusable.
Now, I don't mind the minor suspension of disbelief in the name of a good tale set in a supposedly realistic world, but FFS, don't completely disregard the laws of physics and physiology just to make a crappy sequel to what was probably a crappy original movie (or so I assume from the fact that I've never heard of the stupid thing until reading that wiki.)
