It was All Along the Watchtower, again. (i think)

I'd say Boomer kidnapping Hera was a pretty big thing to happen. Of course this means the BSG is going to have to fight Cabal's Cyclons one last time in an effort to save her (& certainly throws a wrench in the lives of Chief, Athena, & Helo. Not to mention Caprica 6, the President, & all of the Cylon rebels).

Yeah, I read it on IMDB boards too, it should be "All along the Watchtower" again. The responses of the cylons should have been a pretty big clue lol.

We're down to three episodes now, I wonder how Hera is tied into it all, not long now I suppose.

Ok Scifi channel. Here's the deal. You kill off the last battlestar, I find you and nuke you from orbit. I'm still pissed about Pegasus. Lets face it, you owe me for Farscape, and I am calling that favor in!

Don't make me destroy you like I did UPN!

Well, to be honest, it's not looking too good.

Predictions are at this point that it will be used as a massive weapon against the Cylons, although at this point I doubt there's any certainty about that one.

They'ld better start doing something though, only two episodes left and at this point they still prefer showing scenes of Adama looking at the ship bulkheads, again.

And as Omegavegeta points out, a very good candidate to be Daniel, which would make Starbuck the true first offspring of the Cylons.

That is exactly what I was thinking, but I dunno, it seems a bit too pat. I kept trying to decipher the funky font on the cover of the CD of her father's music to try to read the first name but couldn't quite make it out--definitely began with a D though.

I <3'd the scene where the President sat around & smoked a doobie with Odama.

The rest was kinda meh.

I think the only acceptable ending to me is for Adama to Ram a basestar with the Glaticia. The CPT going down with the ship works for me as a ending. Using the Glaticia as scrap pisses me off.

Some say that Hera playing with the toy planes is an indication of the fight to come. It really wouldn't look too good for Galactica if so though, so it's probable that they will go down in a fight.

Maybe anyway, we'll know next week I suppose.

So...I watched BSG tonight. Very good show. Excellent writing, I was shocked. I should have not liked the flashbacks, being that it was the first show I had watched since they found Earth, but I loved it.

I am going to try like hell to watch the final 2 hour show. It should be the send off the show deserves.

I'm starting to fear for it, I just don't see how they're going to end this show in only two hours time.

And if they use that thing they found as the deus ex machina, that'll be extremely disappointing.

It's a grand finale! Or a huge letdown, I'm actually at this point not completely sure.

There really weren't all that many surprises, the ending has been predicted by many, although I won't be posting any spoilers in this post!

Despite the final outcome, I didn't have an immidiate and overpowering need to nuke scifi headquarters from orbit like I usually do when one of their shows ends, so that was a plus. There were parts of it that annoyed me, and parts that turned out better than I would have guessed.

The "all our eggs in on basket" aspect of the ending kind of bothered me though.

Ditto.

Liked:
- How the shared dream ending up tying together.
- Boomer's Death. Touching, given what recently happened with her.
- "Death" of the fleet
- Chief strangling Tori. ***** deserved it.

Disliked:
- The "New" Admiral. What was it, his 2nd episode?
- Cara's "resolution".
- The Caprica 6/Balthar visions' resolution
- What, Lucy Lawless had something more pressing to do than show up for 1 episode? Really?

Lingering Questions:
- The visions Caprica 6 & Balthar shared, what were they? Why did only they see them? Were we supposed to believe they were god & the devil (doubtful, as vision Balthar referred to God as "it"), Angels (more likely), or something else?

- Why did they appear as Caprica 6 & Balthar (to each other) & were they some other version of themselves (resurrected?) or something else (Angels?)

- So, did Cara really die & come back as an Angel (the only "physical" Angel, As "vision" Caprica 6 was only able to physically effect "BSG" Balthar) just so she could punch in the numerical version of All Along the Watchtower & disappear? If so: Lame.

- Which Earth was "real"? I gotta assume dead earth, unless Jimmy Hendrix was a Cylon.

I agree with the Tori resolution, it was very well deserved. Can't blame Chief for not wanting to have to do anything with anyone anymore.

Yes, Cara really did die and come back as an 'angel' to save them by punching in the All along the Watchtower in the FTL drive. Yes, I have to admit, that was pretty darn lame. Sucks for Lee too ofcourse, not only does his father run away, now Cara's gone too. No one left for him.

I'm a bit confused about seeing Cavil shoot his brains out though, it just doesn't fit for him.

The Baltar and Six visions aren't God, as far as I can tell anyway, more like Angels too. Messenger Angels if you will. Which one is that in the bible again? Gabriel?

I'ld say that everything's pretty much wrapped up and explained, that alone is worth something. Plenty of series get cancelled without a chance to do that, luckily they didn't do it this time.

I flat out loved the finale. I felt such a sense of relief for everyone for finally finding peace and able to live out their lives. I've despised Baltar for every season and in the end when he was with Caprica 6 and she was the only person left in the universe that knew his farming background, I was truly touched. I was a bit shocked about Kara, but liked that they admit that she really did die.

Roslin's death was handled nicely and I loved that the two of them could just relax on a plain like that. It just felt good.

Well I got to see the old man ram a basestar.....I didn't care for how it ended for him..a old Warrior deserved a better end.

The Starbuck story line pissed me off for the last year....and the ending left me pissed.

The Angles angle with 6 and Baltar is annoying as well.

I liked the way it ended for Boomer and the Chief getting revenge was well done.

I liked the finale but I think they built up the mysteries to be something huge and to me they just finished it in a "There it is, wasn't as big as me made it out to be." It was still good though. Just left me with a couple questions.

One big one for me was... why did the hybrids keep telling Kara she was the harbinger of doom for humanity when she ended up saving them?

Also, lol at tribal humans mating with advanced humans.

Can anyone tell me what Anders said at the end? I couldn't hear him.

I think she wasn't able to save them the first time round, when it previously happened. Her body was found crashed on Earth (the first one they found), she might even have been the cause of the nucleair war. I don't think it was ever stated as such, but I suppose it's a possibility. (not sure if they ever did a carbon dating on that medal she took)

The notion of tribal humans mating with advanced humans has been done before, in Julian May's "Many coloured land" series. Although there was no direct sexual contact, the aliens who landed on Earth did use primitive humans as breeders.

I agree with how they dealt with the mysteries they kept building up since season one even, it was just done so quickly. It wasn't all bad, just a bit disappointing. Especially the "opera" scenes were thus.

Just watched the final and I really liked it. Not all aspects are perfect but I have no problems in how they solved the mysteries.
And the action scenes of course rocked.

Lucy Lawless missing really did suck but apart from that there were no major let downs for me at least.

Now I am a little bit sad for it to be over. :(
