You were trying to get to 79, and the party disbanded shy of 70?

You were going for some mega party, like days at a time?

Also claim apparently

I'm glad you've had some luck, Tyjet! I've been seeking on RDM for the past two days and I've had no hits. Is RDM not loved anymore? :( Is asking for a 75+ sync party too fussy?

Also, I think I realised last night that I enjoy playing DNC more than RDM. Makes me a sad panda to think my main job has been sidelined in my own head... I also worry if the recent additions to DNC has made it a little too powerful. Or maybe it's just something to do with playstyle. I don't know. :/

Let it be known that whiny people irritate me! I've come across way too many immature people as of late. >>;

Missed claim! Grr.

I loved DNC when I leveled it. Although I leveled it solo to 75 because it was loldnc.

So, what are the plans for the weekend? I'm traveling to OH to spend the weekend with the Guy friend. Going to check out Cleveland. Coming home Monday to 100 degree Mid Atlantic Weather... Not looking forward to that at all.

I'm too cool to claim.

I wanted to be the first level 75 Galka DNC on Garuda. Those plans got derailed when I decided to finish PLD first. I still maintain that a Galka's Curing Waltz looks like a drunk football player trying to tackle himself.

My weekend consists of work Friday and Saturday. Managed to get Sunday off, but the wife has to work. I'm going to my mom's for a cookout after the local parade; both my sisters are supposed to be in town with their men. I told my wife I'd bring her home some food for when she gets off work.

Shouldn't that be "I'm too hot to claim."?

For the local show there is a category write a limerick with theme of "World Cup".

I still need to work on mine, but so far:

There once was a ref who was blind,
Who did not see the ball cross the line,
Although we all saw,
Lampard DID NOT score,
Said the old fart who'd made up his mind.

This is the page of spoilers!

This update has rekindled my love for PLD. PLD was my first love, and it always gets priority over my other jobs where gear is concerned. Once I leveled RDM and SCH, my PLD didn't get much attention because I was always expected to play the support role.

Staying true to my feelings, I've given PLD the priority for leveling. I refuse to level my other jobs until it's at 80. On the way, I've accepted pretty much any type of party because I know, once I reach 80, I won't experience an EXP party on PLD again until the level cap increases again. I've accepted all sorts of parties, and it's been neat to see how much PLD has changed since I leveled it back during the dark ages (Pre-ToAU).

I really love this job. I love it dearly. It's reminded me of my early memories of Vana'diel. You know, back when everyone only had one 75 job. You built a reputation for yourself as that job.

Of course, I remember my more... immature moments from the early days. For instance, my seething hatred for NIN was lulz worthy. Just mentioning the job in my presence was enough to have foam pouring out of my mouth like a rabid beast.

I remember my old sky LS telling me that PLD could never tank Byakko. Especially a loltarupld. I sure showed them when I solo tanked it from 80% to 0% when the NIN master race died early on in the fight. This was also back when everyone subbed /WAR.

I don't get to tank on PLD because Monk and DRK do it better Smiley: frown.

Monk is better in certain situations (Salvage comes to mind) and DRK tanking is dead now with the new enmity changes to CE spells like Bind, Blind, Sleep, etc. Paladin however is a great tank for the vast majority of situations.

I unfortunatly was unable to procure any explosives for the US festivities :\ usually on my visits to SC I'm able to dump loads of cash at phantom fire works (endorsement)

Happy 4th of July people, of the US. Thank you to all our military who sacrifice so much so that our country can remain the beacon of freedom Smiley: cool

DRK tanking isn't dead. With the enmity adjustments, they're left in the same situation as PLD has been since its inception: without a really good CE generator. What this means is that DRK's damage is now even more important. Luckily, we don't really have a problem in that area.

(Yes, I realise that Cures and Atonement fill in the CE gap for PLDs, but don't disregard DRK's DD potential for tanking. SE may have removed options for enmity generation, but certainly not the ability. Sadly, RDM is left with naught...)

Except not at all, sadly. Monk is one of the best tanks at 80 and DRK is far from dead, as it has the same hate generation PLD does with Stun and can do far more damage.

True all true. Ok so DEAD is an overstatement. I still hold though that DRK and MNK are more situational than PLD is however.

Meh, since I joined this shell we've used pld a grand total of one time and that was at KS99 wyrm because we didn't feel like lowmanning with drks again, I love pld but I have to agree that DD tanks are going to be as good or better than pld almost everywhere.
