Not going to happen. Promised my wife no paid MMOs until FFXIV comes out. Not only that, we just got rid of our roommate now that he finally has a job. Our food bill literally doubled overnight when he moved in. Long story.

How is The After Years? I've debated playing it, but I've often heard that it feels more like playing a fangame than something actually canonical.
It's not bad, if you can get past the fact that all the extra scenarios are 300 points each, with the last one being 800. The nice thing is that it saves the progress in each scenario when you finish it so the characters retain their levels; it appears that each one plays a part in the final scenario. One of the major differences is that moon phases can have beneficial or detrimental effects. For example, during one phase, white magic gets a bonus while black magic suffers a penalty. You also get a new form of attack known as a Band, which is essentially a multi-person Limit Break. For example, Ceodore (Cecil and Rosa's son) and the man he travels with get a band called Cross Slash, where they attack an enemy simultaneously for extra damage. I'm guessing that if you got every add-on story, it would take you about 25 hours or so to finish everything, at a cost of about 3900 Wii points.
