I managed to get into the FFXI to take advantage of the double EXP weekend for a bit. I grabbed my Decennial Ring, some level 1 gear and ran off to get my DNC to 30. Woohoo!!
Well... I got it to 29. I would have gotten it to 30 if it weren't for some mean Ancient Bats that linked when I pulled one. I went to bed at that point.
Also, every time I used Animated Flourish I heard the sound effect for Provoke in my head. :x

Last night I decided to get the last 1000 exp to ding level 30 on DNC. I was killing EP Combats when I ran across... Trembler Tabitha! I didn't know what kind of NM it was but I decided to kill it. I knew my fate was sealed when it started casting Quake. I didn't run away, instead I decided to see it'd be funny to see how much HP it would take away from me. It took away more than 1000 HP. I home pointed and ran back on my WHM/BLM and killed it. It dropped nothing. I looked up what kind of NM it was and saw that it's for a RNG related quest. Oops.
At that point I decided to leave DNC at stuck at 29 and run around doing quests related to Adoulin. :x

Those warps are so handy, Now with Adoulin warps, VW warps (now that I finished most of VW just need to kill PW), and abyssea warps getting around to places are so much easier and faster. I still think those quests will be prerequisites in order to use to waypoint warp to Adoulin.

I remember the hype with the Lure of the Wildcat quest chain where everyone knew that was how you get ToAU access and did them in all 4 nations. All I can think of is "Fool me once..."

I managed to get my PUP to 30 and Corsair to 27 over the weekend. I would have gotten COR to 30 if I'd just cared a little more! I will do it with XP bands some day. Leveling these jobs with a BRD PL mule was amazing, especially on COR for the extra Corsair's Roll and Hunter's Roll. 700+ xp/kill. One of my Chain 5s got me over 2000 xp.
. . . . and then I noticed that I'm only DRG to 75 (and testimonies) away from a Maat's Cap. Argh, missed my chance!

I decided to update my PS2... And it's going to take me 9 hours... I switched to the PS3 right around the time Wings of the Goddess came out, so it's not surprising that it's downloading everything. >.<;

Wouldn't mind getting the add-on stuff done, too. Granted, the gear's outdated, but I mainly want to play them for the stories.
