I was... rather disappointed when I got my Ebisu. It actually felt slightly inferior to the Lu (at least back at the time when I got it; I don't know if it's still the case now) because it offered slightly less time to reel in your catch than the Lu did. (Yes, I am sure there was a difference; I did a LOT of fishing with that Lu)

Course, this is from the perspective of someone who leveled their own WW just to fix the Lu to do the quest. For people who do this, it pretty much defeats the purpose of going for Ebisu if you intend to keep your WW skill. For those that don't level it or don't plan to keep the WW skill, yeah, I could see it being actually useful. Other than that though, there is nothing I can catch with Ebisu that I couldn't do at a similar rate with the Lu. Ebisu doesn't even seem to successfully land Lu-breaker fish more often than the Lu does, the only difference is that any rod breaks I would have had with the Lu are replaced with line breaks on the Ebisu.

I felt rather shortchanged by my efforts overall, but oh well. Least I can say that I finished it.

Can I just tell you how weird it is to be interviewing for my replacement? I feel like no one is good enough because no one is me!

I spent Zombie Jesus Day weekend in my rural hometown of 200 people with my family... and I was sleeping almost the entire time; I have a wicked spring cold.

Don't pity me though, I'm doing enough of that myself.

I spent Zombie Jesus Day getting chewed out by my pseudo-Catholic family. Funny fact though: I'm evidently the only person in my family who has actually read the Bible from front to back. Go figure.

On the bright side though, when I got home I finished up the 1 zone win and 2 caturae kills I needed, which means I'm now ready for Shinryu. As excited as I am to finish him off finally, I'm not excited to have to kill him 6 million times in order to get all the items that I need (belt, dagger, scythe, mail, helm).

Edit: After like 6 years of posting here, I've hit 777. I'm really slow.

I walked along the river Maun, it was very pretty, apparantly there were fish that everyone could see except me, seemed kinda poetic. :D

so.... I GOT THE JOB!!!

I had been interviewing for this job with a well known company and had 4 different interviews. I had all but given up hope since I had not heard anything since the last interview. I was a little annoyed too since they had been all in a rush to do 4 interviews but then fall off the face of the earth after. I thought I hadn't gotten the job and thought it was rude that they wouldn't even e-mail me to say so.

Well today they called and offered me the job and I accepted it!

I move next Friday and start on the 16th. Wow, what a wild year this has been!

My plan was to go home for Easter, but that fell through. So, my room mate, his GF, and I had a mini Easter dinner here. It was nice.

Went to target today to buy some Yu-gi-oh cards, as I often do on monday... and walked out wondering what this world is coming too. I bought two of the 2 boosters/3.99 packs, which comes out to 8.70 after tax... gave the cashier a twenty, and was waiting for my 11.30 that I spend on lunch for the rest of the week. Well, apparently her register isn't working right, and she doesn't know how much change to give me, and calls over a customer service lady (Cashier was really young, service lady was really old) And the service lady counts out... 10... 5... 1...1...1... here's his change.

So I ended up only spending two dollars, all because apparently nobody can do simple arithmetic and whenever their technology breaks down they flounder. It was kind of sad, and I was going to be nice and give it back until neither one of them even made an effort to attempt to check the amount... the old lady seemed like she was just grabbing bills at random.

Come on people, I hate math too, but it's not like it's hard to do 20 - 8.7 =(. Oh well, both boosters sucked anyway D:, though I did get an Effect Veiler!

What is this world coming to? A grown man buying Yu-gi-oh cards.
#5097 Apr 25 2011 at 8:35 PM Rating: Excellent
Well, since I'm 17 and don't quite qualify for "Grown Man", at least, I would assume by your standards I do not, then crisis averted and the world is good to go.

I'm 22 now and I started playing when I was 16 or so. I remember having to lie about my age on the PoL register thingy. I'm scared to correct it now out of fear of getting banned or something stupid.

Lol, I was a wee lad of about 8 when I started playing FFXI, got it for christmas =P. I remember having to lie about my age for a good five years haha. It's been a damn long time, mildly depressing when I think how little I have accomplished.

I'm pretty sure you can't change it anyways.
