Sounds good from someone that has NEVER done it. You do have typeo in the begining where you use "were" twice.

Looks good, and easy to follow.

Also, the more the PS3 version of FFXIV is delayed, the more I'm leaning towards coming back. I think either Bun or Tofu said they'd keep a spot in their LS open for me if I do. :)

Argh. Thanks for pointing out typos. I hate when I do that.

For the travel part you might want to add that you can only port from Horst if you have Scars of Abyssea installed. Also you can't just visit the zone, you have to click on the maw with a stone in your key items.

Seen people mess up on this many times wondering why they can't port.

Good call, although I didn't know until now that you needed Scars installed to teleport.

Yeah I know a guy that only had Visions and Heroes before he went back to school. He needed to walk to every Maw.

I have good news & bad news.

Bad news: there is the strong possibility my FFXIV LS will be closing down due to lack of interest. There have been three posts on our website in the last four months, two of which were by me.

Good news: there's an equally strong possibility I will be returning to FFXI, probably late May or early June. I'm holding out for a collector's edition with all the Abyssea add-ons. The last ones I got were ACP & MKD, neither of which I finished.

I guess it depends on your perspective. I was looking forward to FFXIV, having been a beta tester. Maybe the fact that it's not coming out on PS3 in the near future is a sign I need to come back to FFXI. I miss my Galka.

As long as I'm on the subject, let me ask you guys a question: EXP first, or merits first? When I quit, my PLD had capped shield merits, at least 3 in sword, and I believe one each in Chivalry, Fealty, and Guardian. I'd like to at least cap sword and Chivalry, as I think they'd be the most useful.

Also, I need to upgrade my gear at some point. The completist in me wants to do enough Campaign to get the AN for the Iron Ram Hauby that I never got before I quit.

Thoughts?

I'd say get the exp first. Although you should be able to cap both very quickly.

Definately exp first. Levels will increase your statistics far faster than merits can. Trust me: once you get into Abyssea, you'll have more merits than you know what to do with.

Oh, and as for the Campaign thing, I would wait on that as well. They're revamping it soon, so it might actually be worth doing.
