Hihi!^^ Checking in from the hospital. Not sure how much longer I will be in here, but I am not looking forward to probably having a visiting nurse stay with me after I am released. Also totally not amused by being fed thru an iv for as long as they damn well feel like I should be. I miss food... :/ Oh and I miss you guys too. Plz send real food! <3

Darkdoom, I'd definitely be interested, but time would be an issue for me. It would have to be on a weekend morning or probably on weekday nights... and remember, I'm on Pacific time. What did you have in mind?

And Toohot, congrats! I've been married myself now for just over a year, and it's been great.

Depends on your definition of real food, but I've got some TV dinners and burritos in my freezer if you want some.

Someone should host a Lakshmi Minecraft server. I bought it back in Alpha but didn't play it much. It would be awesome to play with some trustworthy people.

If it's comprised of people in this thread, it would be pretty fun, I'd think.

I'd be able to do weekday nights a decent portion of the time unless the girlfriend and I have prior engagements, same with weekend mornings. I'd be going after either Kannagi or Verethragna(Probably Kannagi, just such an easier path) and we'd probably split farming between what everyone wants or rush one persons since an empy would be a fairly large speed boost in regards to our farming speed. RDM(or whm) + MNK or NIN can handle pretty much all the NMs but extra bodies to hold pop sets and make things quicker would be a major help(Also thief for th and someone who could WAR to handle procs or cleave for KIs would also help). Be more interested in making sure we had 4-5 people we could count on before working out main details though.

There is an item in the game called red stone dust basically it functions as electricity. It can be used to set up computing system using various gates, and flip flop type circuitry and even has repeaters that can function as quasi RAM. Furthermore you can use Red Dust Torches (an item made with the dust) to light up in an LED fashion. Which can be used to illuminate certain clear blocks with colored tapestry on it.

Basically if you build a large enough "screen" you can illuminate the individual "pixels" with various command inputs.
Furthermore you can use this technique to essentially move a group of pixels across the "screen" by using different controls.

If you have say 4 controls (up left down right for example), and 2 action controls (say to stab a nearby pixel) you could emulate a Nintendo controller. Using the Bit system you could say set up a game of Pac Man, or Dig Dug or something like that where your movement and actions "destroy" pixels.

It is very very interesting the possibilities of it. In a random youtube vid (sorry can't find link will post if i do) some guy is attempting to build a computing system that is capable of producing a "Mine Craft" simulation, within mine craft.

Its way over my head, I just saw a video on you tube of crazy computing with the prospects of the future being mentioned, and an 8bit system isn't really that complex when you think about it.

When they have completed the simulation within the game, the next task needs to be a simulation in the simulation within the game....

and then a simulation within that simulation.

Did I just blow your mind?
