So as it turns out the interview went really well, and I'm going to be spending the next few days relearning everything on the SATs. Plus, I'm auditioning for a band on Wednesday now, so I can get famous and re-forget everything on the SATs! It's been a good week. Probably going to start back up in a week or so, or I might just wait until May.

I have a 31 ACT, won 5 regional competition medals and 1 state competition medal from Academic Decathlon, and I've already taken a few college courses, and McDonalds* doesn't even bother calling me back.

When life gets you down, resort to extremely outrageous levels of technological improvement to feel better.

(For reference, current computer is a 2.13 ghz Dual core CPU with a 9800 Gt that crashes in 90% of the games I play and 4gb of DDR3 1333mhz Ram, but hey, I have a 1tb 7,200 RPM HDD at least, that was made in the last... 3 years. and a fairly used G15 that I'm replacing on a whim and after reading the stellar reviews of the deck legend.)

My system is getting a bit dated. Phenom 64 bit quad-core overclocked to 2.9 GHz, 4 gigs of DDR2, beforementioned vidcard. I usually build on-the-cheap, getting last year's stuff. For instance, this processor cost me $60 from Newegg about 6 months ago. Smiley: laugh

Well no Ebisu so nevermind haha, and yeah I decided I wanted a computer that would last me for a few years without becoming dated or making me turn settings down to get a playable fps

It's kinda hard for me to justify fishing up unstackable fish anymore when I can hop in Abyssea and make better money via sheer "npcfood"... without having to deal with the fickle AH where the 3 or so people currently going after Ebisu may or may not buy your fish in a prompt manner >_>

I'm glad I never got any 100 non-WW craft (other than fishing, anyway) prior to going for Ebisu; being able to get to 75-80 WW was practically a requirement for me.

I imagine I'll have to drop my Alchemy for WW. That sucks.

What do you fish up in Abyssea?

Eh, I wouldn't do that if you like your alchemy. Ebisu is already impractical in the sense that in order to get it, you ideally want to be able to earn yourself the ability to fix your Lu... which kinda defeats the primary purpose of the Ebisu in the first place.

Well, there aren't any profit fish in there as far as I know. Amberfarming (or NMs, if you don't mind dealing with the AH) is a better way to go IMO.

There are these suckers in La Theine though, which Zaldon might be able to gut open for a Noddy Ring. These things are a ***** to fish up though, just as a warning. I find them significantly more difficult to catch than Gugrusaurus, at least on PC.

I got my Fishing to 30 almost exclusively to go for a Mercurial Kris back when they were worth assloads. I burned through so many stupid Marlin and never got a chart. I don't think I'd have the patience to take it that high.

My highest craft is WW which is either 19 or 29, the crafting system including gathering (helm ****) suck hard in this game. Let me put it this way sunday I went from level 0 mining and Gem cutting in WoW to level 525, it cost me maybe 150 gold to go up the teirs and in the end i walked away with a little over 1K Gold from just NPCing ****. 2 craft skills capped in less than a day.

If I spent a whole day grinding skills in FF id be out an *** ton of money, and not be close to cap.
