Also, very good news that SE game servers are starting to ping.
I'm actually installing FFXI as we speak. In my boredom over the last week, I decided to upgrade to Windows 7 x64, and it just came in the mail today. Actually, I'm pretty sure it's the first legal version of Windows I've ever installed.
I downloaded all FFXI updates via the awesome BG torrent, so I probably saved myself 10 hours of downloading via POL.
Windows 7 is pretty, and I'm already fairly impressed with it. I've restored nearly all the critical backups I made (my 14000 MP3s, email, etc), but I'm sure it will take weeks to get my PC back to it's former glory.

Word. I just hope it's not a pain in the *** to get ffxi working when I get this computer, can't remember if it had problems with Crossfire or not.

Ive got 6 days left on my trial in WoW. I got to 1TNL and it wouldn't let me go any higher. Not overly impressed about that, but it is free time so I guess meh, my bro is buying me Cata today so Ill ding with 1 kill. But one thing I have to say. Props to Blizzard on making old content relevant. From what I did on my new hunter all the starter zones are entirely changed, the mission lines have changed. Certain areas are completely unrecognizable (such as Stonetalon Mountains). The new Hyjal area has a pretty awesome story Arc, and its wicked to watch your work actually change the landscape. (for example a burned out forest starts regrowing after you perform some mission arks in it).
I am pretty impressed with Blizzard reusing old content. So much better than what SE did in WoTG and Abyssea (from storyline and sense of accomplishment). Anyone who says WoW can suck it and I invite you to play through the restoring the ancients questline in the Hyjal. Its pretty @#%^ing awesome story arc.

Well, that was good news to wake up to. I was hoping for today or Wednesday, but I'll take Friday.
