The only way I see this calculus changing is if China invaded Taiwan under a republican administration, and we extracted the populace. So, not in any way likely, but if it were to happen, it would happen under Trump.
The reason why Hillary supporters want Sanders to stay in the race is the hope that all of the new people that entered the primary, will then vote in the general. If you can motivate the Asian population to vote in the primary, the more support you will have in the General.
Lastly, they also have concerns that should be addressed, regardless if you don't see a political *edit* motive *edit*. Your logic supports why the GOP essentially gave up on the black vote.
